DH & I have tried every phrase we can think of to get "Alexa" to play 1980s, early 1990s love songs. She always says she can't find 1980s love songs. We're mostly interested in late 80s, early 90s, but we'd take anything in the 80s & 90s. Any suggestions for how we should phrase our request?

That's a good question! Have you tried just saying 'love songs'? Or name a specific song and when she plays it, ask for more like it?

I ask for classic rock and get quite a wide mix, and just this week asked for weird Al songs. The whole family is enjoying those. I asked for Disney songs but she only played a few.

Hopefully someone knows some better tricks.

Thanks. We'll try the "ask for more like it" trick.

I haven't tried 80s and 90s, but seem to have luck with "Alexa, play 70s rock music." It seems to work and isn't necessarily "hard" rock (which I wouldn't mind some of).
