Amazon.com Lego Lightining Deals

Amazon.com is having a bunch of lightning deals on Lego sets today. No idea of the price as they won't be posted until the deal starts. Sets included Chima Lennox Lion Attack, Bricks and More DUPLO My First Build 4631, Lone Ranger Train Chase, Chima Eris Eagle Interceptor,Spongebob Undersea Party, The Hobbit Goblin King Battle, Duplo Play with Letters.

I wish they had choices for a 5 year old. All of the sets offered this round are too young (Duplo) or too old (age 7+). I want to get my nephew a fun lego set for Christmas...he'll be 5 in January and plays with the regular legos.

The age ranges for Legos are based on frustration level. DS started with biggish sets somewhat young and we made it clear that any tantrums from the complicated stuff would cause the sets to be put away. We all learned together how to read the diagrams and be careful, and over time he needed less and less help. (sad...I loved that time).

This is harder for you to monitor because you aren't the parent, but maybe talk with mom and dad about their thoughts on it.

Then again, DS is now 9 and can put together huge sets of Legos, but won't let me get rid of the duplos because he still loves them. Maybe your nephew might actually enjoy duplos still?
