Amazing...Three Parks filled to capacity at one time

My DS CM just called. He was on a break from his job at Epcot. He told me that MK, AK & MGM are all filled to capacity and not letting guests in right now. I am so glad we went last week.

For a second I couldn't understand why, but then I remembered what week it is. I was there last year and it gets really crowded!!! It's a lot of fun though.

We were at the World Dec 22-26. The crowds the 22nd - 25th weren't too bad, but Epcot on the 26th was a zoo.

We had a good time, but if we do go back during the Christmas season we'll be sure to go before Christmas, not after.

I passed through WDW property yesterday on the way home and saw signs saying MK was full. I don't think I've ever noticed that before.

capacity is a closely guarded secret.

But i'm also glad we were there last week .

Our Neighbors are there right now on their 1st even visit I hope they are enjoying themselves.

We *still* had a great time. Got there early - taking advantage of AM EMH at the MK yesterday and today, and then used the PM EMH at MK on Monday (Christmas) when we had a great time after midnight!

You have to expect the crowds and plan around them. See the hotels mid day, or go to a pool. We did Disney Quest which was crowded, but NOTHING compared to the parks.

MK was jammed by 10AM today; good thing we were there at 715AM.

yeah, DH just called. He was taking the kids to the Contemporary arcade and they wouldn't let him in to park. They would only let people with dining reservations in.

What's interesting is that this is the 2nd time AK is closed to capacity! Yea, AK... finally moving up with the big boys!

We were in the parks from the 14th to the 18th and I can seriously say that it was the busiest I have ever seen it in the parks. It was even worst than some Spring Breaks of the past!

I just posted this on the other attendance thread.

I was at my dads last week when his girlfriends ex daughter in law came over. First time i ever met her & we all went out to dinner. She said her & her brother were going to florida to visit a relative this week & was planning on spending two days at WDW. Said they had been there before but it had been years. I asked her what days they were going to disney & she said they want to be there on NYE to watch the fireworks. Said they are staying offsite, she didn't know how far away just something they had booked thru a TA she thought it was a travelodge.
I told her to expect huge crowds to get there at opening & asked if she knew about fast pass. Of course she had never heard of it so I told her how fast pass works & gave her as many helpful tips that i could.

Really? We were there the 15th-22nd and while it was busier than I thought it would be we never waited more than 20 minutes for anything all week. Most of our waits were 10 minutes or so with a few 20 in there. I thought it was great!

We arrived on 12/22. We did MVMCP on 12/22, MGM on the 23rd, Epcot the 24th, and MK on the 25th. It was our first visit, so we didn't have anything to compare. I had been reading the boards and was expecting massive crowds. I was surprised that it was not as bad as I had been expecting. Even MK on Christmas Day wasn't that bad. But on 12/26 .... OMG!!! AK was an absolute madhouse. We were leaving the 27th, but not until later in the afternoon, so we went to DTD and it was also shoulder to shoulder people. The difference between the day before Christmas and the day after was seriously unbelievable. I had originally planned on staying through 12/29, but couldn't get the extra days off work and now I"m so glad. I don't even think it would have been worth it.

We had a great time though. I'm just glad that 3 out of 4 of our park days were manageable.

I am also happy to be on blackout. Why are the parks so busy? I don't get it.

I am worried because my TA told me we are going while it is going to be very busy do to a marathon run and MLK day. I just didn't plan on the holiday when making plans months ago. I just thought that it was when the we could go.

Why the max at the parks?
