I think that was me. They need to go to a different country because too many of them speak spanish or like you said spanglish and it makes it easier on them. Arent 2 or more of the teams from TX and Florida to live there its easier to learn spanish because its everywhere. I think they said next week they are in Russia and thats where it looks like they are eating Caviar.

In their defense, I think they are playing a great game. They are playing to their strength, which is to make everyone think they are weak. There's no difference between them asking for sympathy from someone, and the twins flirting to get what they want, as has been pointed out before.

Also, C & M have been trying to get an alliance with anyone since this thing started and have been pretty much blown off. In their short lived alliance last night, they even stopped when the other team got stuck in the mud. How were they repaid? "We waited for you when you went the wrong way". Um, yeah...right. Then their new found allies have someone else book their tickets for them leaving C & M to fend for themselves. The argument with pizza boy came about because Mirna simply told her "ally" not to share strategy info with pizza boy. I think pizza boy got mad because, like everyone else, they have underestimated C & M and are now finding them to not be afraid to stand up for themselves. Also, the lie about the doctor could just as easily have backfired if the ticket agent had asked for a phone number to the doctor or hospital. Also, another team asked to be bumped to the top of the list as well, they just gave no reason.

I don't really mind the small lies to people outside the race, it's the lies to other racers, like the moms telling the father/daughter that they have to change thier money. There wasn't much outrage for that.

Yup. My favorite part is when they adopt a fake accent, but are still speaking English.

Playing the "doctoro" card was sneaky - just what I've come to expect from these two.

It's funny how the "internet-dating couple" aren't getting any air-time. What's up with that? I barely knew where they were in the mix. Are they that dull that the producers are considering them an after-thought?

Yup, the twins swimming across the lake LOL. It even made my husband laugh and he isn't into the reality shows, but made him watch it with me. I wonder how they didn't find the shallow area and just walk across?

I think they're a riot! And I DO think people take advantage of them!! Anybody else catch the comment by the male member of the team coming in first last night? Telling his girlfriend,"hurry up,we can beat the midget". Nice. ....

I'm glad to see Mirna & Charla keep thier 2nd place spot . . .
They are running the race, just like everyone else is. They are taking what has been given to them and are running with it.

The brothers comment last night was uncalled for going to C & M at the airport and out of the vehicle. They are such classy people! I'm amazed they were able to change that flat tire last night; didn't seem to have an idea that they need to use the crossbar to remove the lug nuts.

C & M keep trying to make an alliance & no one is willing to. The other teams see them as a liability, because Charla may not be able to do everything, but she is able to carry beef that probably weighs as much as she does & is as big as she is, further than her cousin could!

I still would like to see Chip & Kim get eliminated or the brothers. I hated that the father & daughter were eliminated; but she had the opportunity to book the 10:30 flight before everyon else & she didn't. Also, they could of shopped around like some of the other teams, instead of relying on one airline. (Expedia does this).

I would like to see more coverage of the Internet dating couple; and I can't wait to see them eat cavier next week (I guess Mirna won't do that roadblock, because it will make her "puke"). Also, did y'all see the clip where it should Charla & Mirna playing goalie in hockey?? That looks like it will be a great roadblock.

Another fan of Charla and Mirna here. Not saying everything they have done is moral or right, but many of the other teams are doing sneaky and underhanded things too. I'm not saying it's ok, but it's part of the game I guess. I actually feel kinda bad for them like other people have said. They have tried to form alliances and they have gone out of their way to help other people and they have been walked all over. So good for them that they are doing so well!

I wondered about that too- they were so clueless but it only took them 15 minutes???? I have taken an hour to change a flat before but I was completely by myself.

I haven't really had a fave team this season, which is weird because usually I like at least one team right away. No one is reaching out and grabbing me this time though. I agree that they're showing Charla/Mirna way to much. Some of the other teams they showed for like 5 minutes the whole show last night.
The brothers bug me, I don't really like Brandon/Nicole and Mirna is SUPER annoying. She has hugged Phil every leg plus she said in the beginning that she thought he was hot! I don't know what it is about them, but the twins bug me too.
I'm rooting for the internet dating couple now, although it would be nice if they showed them a little more and I also kind of like Colin and Christie and the bowling moms.
Next week should be interesting with the food thing!

I also like Charla and Mirna. I think they are entertaining. And you have to give them credit for stopping when Brandon and Nicole got stuck in the mud.

I really don't like the Brothers or Chip and Kim. I was sad that Jim and Marcia were eliminated. I think my favorite team right now is Bob and Joyce (internet dating couple.)

Have they done away with the Fast Forwards this season? If not, you would think that Chip and Kim, or the twins or the brothers would have used one by now. They've been consistently in the back of the pack and near elimination every week. You'd think they'd take advantage of the FF to get up in the pack before it's too late.

I know they add that Yield feature, which sounds goofy and worthless to me. I wonder if it replaced the FF for this season.

Well, if that's the reason, some of those straggler teams are taking an awfully big chance. You can't take the FF home with you.

Remember two seasons ago, when twins/models Drew and Derek were on? I'm sure the ladies remember them, anyway. They were at the very back in the first couple of shows, and went with the FF. Their theory was that once they got out of the hole, they'd be in good shape. And they made it all the way to Vietnam and 4th place. It seems like one of those teams should use that strategy.

There actually is no fast forward this season. There is something new that you can choose a team and put them on hold for an undetermined amount of time. I forget what it is called but he mentioned it in the first show but I have yet to see anyone mention or use it.

The wife anmd I find the cousins Mirna and Charla to be entertaining but man is the blonde ever an airhead. The funniest was when the twins swam to the checkpoint last night and stood there trying to cover up the transparent white shirt the one was wearing.

Ok, I'm finally making my first post on this thread. I've never watched Amazing Race before this season, but when I saw Charla in the ads, I just had to watch. You see, my DH and I are both little people. Therefore, I think I have a little insight into Charla's thought processes some of you may be missing.

Think about this: No matter how you slice it, C & M have an inherent disadvantage right from the start. One: every time they drive anywhere, Mirna has to drive. I doubt any of the provided cars have hand controls installed for Charla. LOL They can't trade off, so if they have to drive any really long distances, they could be in trouble. Two: extremely physical challenges are impossible. Take last night's detour: yeah, everybody chose the paragliding. But, what if one of the girls had a horrid fear of heights? They couldn't have done the mountain bike thing. Now what? Charla can't ride a bike. Everyone else had a choice there; they did not.

So, my point is, with all of these disadvantages, why shouldn't they be able to use any small advantage they can get? I will admit, even I cringed a little at her doctoro thing, but mostly because I knew that would start a firestorm on this thread. I try not to "use" my disability, but, when push comes to shove--if there were a million dollars at stake, you'd better believe I'd use whatever I could!
