Amazing halftime show

From what I understand, the drone show had to be prerecorded...the FAA (or some official agency) had a no fly zone over the stadium during the show/game. It was recorded earlier in the week. But, once she jumped down, it was all live...including her vocals.

I'm clearly in the minority, but I thought it was just ok! I like Gaga, but I have such high expectations for a shock value or something really new and unique, and I didn't feel like we got any of that. She's a great dancer and phenomenal singer, and I think all the songs she chose were great, but no real "WOW!" moments for me. She's very talented and entertaining, but since she's known for being so outside the box, I expected something more.

Well, other than jumping off the roof lol. It was widely leaked though, no real surprise factor or as you state a "wow" moment for me, but a solid show.

It's almost as though she had been toned down by the management. I understand she was on national TV and many families were viewing but don't feel she was true to her typical live performance persona. Honestly, had expected a bit of a political statement (more than the opening number which was nicely done) since last year was rather heavy on it.

Found it interesting that our house DH & I were satisfied by the overall performance but my adult kids were all disappointed, said their Twitter feeds agreed it was a snooze for them (twenty - early 30'somethings).
Perhaps she's segueing to appealing to an older audience after her duet w/Mr Bennet?

I respect her based upon her public persona and deeds/words as to causes near & dear to her.

Since political opinions are not supposed to be posed here, I won't specifically comment on your thoughts as to what constitutes unity for our country.
