She certainly was something else!Incredible performance. I think what I liked the most is you could really tell what a dream come true it was for her to be doing it. Loved the shout out to her parents.
If you look at the lyrics to This Land Is Your Land and Born This Way you'll see she was definitely delivering a message.
Yes, she alluded to that in interviews. As @cabanafrau described earlier it was all about unity and harmony.Does Ga Ga know the original meaning of this land is your land and did she mean to convey that meaning given the short portion she included? I don't think we'll truly know unless she tells us.

She looked Good, despite the trolls hiding behind their keyboards saying otherwise.
Overall, I actually was DISappointed ... seemed like old moves, old songs and not what I expected. So for me.. just okay.
But the game... loved it!
Unfortunately for her, when I hear it all I hear is Camilla the chicken going "gaga" for the balloon bouquet Gonzo buys her, lol!It was great and I love saying GaGa
Michael Jackson 1993As a 49 year old guy who prefers classic rock, that was the best halftime show I can remember seeing. Bar none.

As far as the drones go, yeah - they weren't live. I've heard rumors that her singing from on top of the roof wasn't live either, as they had to record that with the drones.
Intel had a drone demonstration at the Super Bowl fan festivities last year. Didn't go, as there was a ridiculously long line.
It was just my opinion. The roof/drone/jump thing was cool, although it was pre-recorded. I read this morning the FAA would not permit that to be done live. But her repelling from the ceiling and landing on the stage was live of course. I don't think it was a bad performance by any means, just safe by Gaga standards. I was glad she did not go the political route, though.
Just take the performance for what it was, entertainment.
All this garbage really needs to stop.
I had my suspicions that the roof jump wasn't live. The logistics involved would seem to be too daunting for the time allotted. Then I read the following day that it was pre-recorded. That's fine. It was a phenomenal performance.
A subtle message was there for those who recognized it, and it was just entertainment for those who didn't. Not many performers could pull that off successfully.
The one with Janet Jackson was the best one ever. Wonder why that is?
