Amazing Adventures of the 2013 Disney Moms Panel Search

I submitted my application. I applied for DCL again this year. I debated applying for WDW or DVC, but decided to go where my passion is, and that is definitely DCL. Although, I could write pages about my love for WDW or DVC too. Anyone else worried they missed some big obvious wrong answer due to nerves?

Mickey dreams and pixie dust for all! pixiedust:

Did others change the category for which they applied from last year? I thought about DVC, but given I haven't done an Adventures by Disney and I've only been a member for a few years, I didn't think that made sense. Just curious as to others as to their thoughts on the category of applications. It's fun nonetheless!

I applied for runDisney last year, and did again this year! I just could not resist, as it marries my two biggest loves in life (other than my hubby and family of course) ::yes::

I've also only been a DVC member since 2009 (we joined on our Disney Crusie honeymoon) so I don't think I've had enough experience with that side of the business to offer lots of knowledge.

I'd love to do RunDisney. But living halfway across the country and with two kids, I didn't think I'd run enough Disney events in the timeframe required. Good luck! I'm hoping to be back running Disney soon!

My app's in!!! DL panelist is what I applied for. Should I be totally freaking out because I don't remember seeing or answering any question about when I first heard about the Mom's Panel? Where did they ask it?

No you shouldn't, it was on the second page of questions if you applied for WDW. ;)

A big round of :wizard:for all those applying this year! I just got back tonight from a whirlwind trip to DL for my DS's 3-year birthday, and of course, today would have been the day! Being on planes all day from the West Coast had me out of the loop. I'm glad that as of about 11 p.m. central tonight, the application process was still open. :goodvibes

I made it to Round 2 last year after trying just about every year, and I'm hoping to employ the same strategy this year as I did to last year's Round 1 - I frankly forgot all about it until I got the Round 2 e-mail! Here's hoping that works again this year!:p

Good luck to all! It will be wonderful to see what DISers are a part of the panel this year!

I ended up being too darn busy running around to be able to sit down and answer the questions.

Too tired now as I just got home from work and can hardly keep my eyes open. So it's sleep and hopefully I'll get to it right after dropping DD off at school in the morning.

Oh darn! Our last trip was in Dec. 2010, and our next one is Oct. 28. I guess I missed the cut off...or does it count that I'm in the planning process with a trip currently booked? :) I'd love to at least make it to round 2!

Just submitted my application for the DLR.

Here's hoping for lots of Pixie Dust for all of us applying this year pixiedust: :goodvibes

I am hoping I can forget about the application like I did last year and be pleasantly surprised when my round 2 email shows up. :scratchin

At least I found all of you in the process last year so more likely I will be reading too much here :surfweb:

Whether you picked soft serve or pineapple, I think it is all good. The wording leads me to believe it was more of a subjective question. All I know is that a serving is only 80 little, fat-free calories, and I love them!

Besides, what makes them so special is that you can only get them at a Disney Park or Resort!:cheer2:

You can actually get them at Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, Pa. We were on the skyride and I saw the sign and started yelling to my husband who was in the car in front of me lol.

Wow!! I was online tonight just tinkering a little more on the planning of our upcoming DL trip in November, and decided to pop over to Mom's Panel and see if there was any new info on the opening of applications. I have been swamped for a couple weeks and hadn't been keeping up, so imagine my surprise when I saw the "Apply Now" button!! pixiedust:

Got my cold iced tea, stretched out my fingers, cracked my knuckles and away I went! Then suddenly it all came rushing back to me... all the anxiety, 2nd guessing, and the 200 critical words I needed to express my Disney joy in only 100 words! Should I pick Disneyland? I have been there the most... or what about WDW, we absolutely love it there. Of course it must be DCL since it is the single most dreamed about trip in our lives (been 3X but still not enough)... the choice was clear... DVC!! For us, none of these would have really been possible, if it hadn't been for joining DVC.

So here we all sit. Dreaming of the chance to share our passion over and over again with people who are hungry to experience something new and exciting. We get to open their eyes to the wonders of Disney, and then share in their joy as they experience it through us. All the while, reliving all the amazing memories from our past.
Can it get any better than this??

Good luck everyone!! :thumbsup2

p.s. Now you see why that whole "100 word" thing is just not doable :goodvibes

I applied last night for the first time. I am probably the most ignorant one here about this process, but I had fun with it anyway :goodvibes. Good luck to everyone here!

This is a question that gets brought up and discussed every year, and I don't know that we've ever had a definite answer. I say go for it!

I'm going to quit obsessing about the Dole Whip question and just enjoy one at WDW in a few weeks when we visit! That question makes me feel like I'm taking a standardized test again!

To change the subject, I applied for WDW panel this time, as opposed to RunDisney (last year) based on the criteria. Did others change the category for which they applied from last year? I thought about DVC, but given I haven't done an Adventures by Disney and I've only been a member for a few years, I didn't think that made sense. I changed from runDisney to WDW, due to the criteria. I'm doing TOT in a few weeks. I didn't know if that would work.

Lots of butterflies now...so happy that we can all hang out and have butterflies together!!!! :grouphug:

Still wishing Twende would come on over and play with us! :flower3:

Just curious, if one is chosen for the Disney Mom's Panel what is the compensation?
Are there any out of pocket expenses if you are chosen?

Submitted mine from my room last night and actually I feel better! I think knowing I can go enjoy the rest of my stay and it's out of my hands makes it that way! I too answered pineapple. When we did the Dole factory tour last summer they actually said something similair to this question and said its the pineapple that makes a Dole whip a whip :) (they are really popular in HI) but I know that's not Disney :/ Pixie dust to all in November! I'm headed to MK today for MNSSHP! Woohoo!...and my dole whip.
