Ok, if you were to go back and check the threads I have started, you may realize that this is my 3rd WISH journal. But why would you go back, because I just told you it is.

I have known for a while that I am out of shape. I am out of shape, but never felt "fat". I figured if I just started working out and eating a bit better, I would shape up. Well 2 days ago it really hit me. Standing there, looking in the mirror. No I am not fat. 5'7" and 170.5 is not fat, but it's not thin either. I could see where my parts of my better were more than just out of shape.

And then this morning. My favorite sweater is tight. So are my pants. I refuse to go and buy anything new that is larger. I heard Bon Jovi on the radio today and it really woke me up.

It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive

There are no more excuses. In January, I conviced Dh to run the 1/2 with me. Back in August, I dropped out. I figured I could never do it. I hadn't kept up with my training like I should have. So I switched to the 5K.

So here is my journey. Be here to witness my success. Because this time, I will succeed. My goal by January 5th (The day we leave for WDW) is 15 lbs. I know I can do it. Overall, I would like to lose 25 lbs. I have 55 days.

I will workout
I will eat better
I will drink 64 oz of water EVERYDAY
I will stop feeling sorry for myself

I CAN DO THIS.

Great start, Amanda! So, what did you do today to get a great start on your quest? Wouldn't it be great if at the end of each day you could say:

"OBJECTIVES FOR THE DAY:
I will workout -- DONE!
I will eat better -- DONE!
I will drink 64 oz of water EVERYDAY -- DONE!
I will stop feeling sorry for myself -- I DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR MYSELF! I HAVE A GREAT LIFE AND A GREAT PLAN AND I'VE TAKEN CONTROL!"

Good luck, sweetie! Do it now-- for you-- because as time goes on there will only be more and more commitments and time pressures and it WILL get harder to make yourself a priority!

I can't wait to see you in January and to congratulate you on all you will have accomplished by then! Just think -- your clothes may be a little snug right now but by then they will be loose or replaced by a smaller size. Can't wait to see/hear!
Sending you   and :wizard: :wizard: for a wonderful, successful journey!

Thanks Cam! Yesterday wasn't too bad. I had a pampered Chef party to go to and that kinda screwed things up.

Yesterday:

I will workout- Nope :(
I will eat better- I think I did better

Breakfast- Total Raisin Bran with Banana
Low-fat Yogurt for morning snack
Lunch- Leftover half-sandwich from Corner Bakery. French baguette with grilled chicken, tomatoes and pesto may. Had an apple with it
Aft. Snack-100 calorie granola bar. Oh at lunch they made me eat 2 small cookies
Dinner-Grabbed a bologna and cheese on wheat before the party
At the party I had a small piece of the turkey entree and applecrisp, plus 2 small cookies.

I will drink 64 oz of water EVERYDAY- OH I came so close!! I think I had probably 55oz.
I will stop feeling sorry for myself- I little today. My clothes were so tight that it was uncomfortable, but not so tight that I couldn't wear them :confused3 Made me a little upset.

Today is going to be a great day!! I have already been up for almost an hour and worked out. Raisin bran for breakfast again. I am just kinda stumped on dinner tonight. I think we need to grocery shop, but we aren't supposed to go until next Tuesday. Our budget is on a tight schedule and watched heavily...by me! :rotfl:

Good Morning!!

First off, Yesterday:

I will workout- Yes!! Got up early and did an awesome workout with my 10lb weights
I will eat better- I did pretty good today. Raisin Bran again for breakfast. Had some hot cocoa this morning, so I wans't really hungry for yogurt.

Lunch- Salad with homemade honey mustard dressing and an apple.
Split a donught with my co-worker

Dinner- Chicken breast with green beans. I did a variation of risotto with brown rice and parm cheese. Dh brouht my a three musketeers bar for dessert. Only 5g of fat!!

I will drink 64 oz of water EVERYDAY- Almost. I think the same as yesterday
I will stop feeling sorry for myself- NOPE!!!! :Pinkbounc

Today has been great. We had scrambled eggs with low-fat english muffins for breakfast. I just did a 1.5 mile walk while dh ran. My endurance sucks!! I came back before he did to try and did a cardio dvd but my legs just feel like jello!!

Morning!! So yesterday was good, except I feel like I snacked too much. I snacked on low-fat granola bars and low-fat popcorn, but still.

I am so sore, but going to POWER 90 cardio today instead of walking outside. It is easier to do that kind of thing on the weekend, I can do my weight workouts and ballet during the week. I will be back later.

Ok, good afternoon!! So yesterday was good. I didn't work out, decided Monday would be my off day. Went grocery shopping last night and bought some yummy foods. We did really good. The only sweets we bought were Edy's low fat, slow churned ice cream. I got vanilla bean which is really good with fat free hersheys on top and Kevin got Eggnog (yuck!!)

Today has been good too. I had new fake kashi cereal with blueberries for breakfast. I have eaten 2 bananas today. Lunch was low-fat turkey on wheat with lettuce, low-fat cherry yogurt and sugar snap peas. I also brought an apple and low-fat granola bar with me as I have to work late. I am not doing so well with the water, but getting better. I am going to try and work out tonight, Kevin purposely let me oversleep. He said I wasn't feeling well last night and he thought I could use it.

WHoohooooo! Good Morning and Happy THURSDAY!! Only 7 more days until I go home!! Kevin and I got a free two week memebership to a gym by my parents so we can work out while we are gone. I have been doing so good with food!! The worst I have eaten is low-fat ice cream. I never though I could do it. Although at my parents will be tough. My mom is buying my favorite CARROT CAKE for my birthday. Well I just got finished doing cardio and am just having some yogurt before I jump in the shower. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hi there!!!

Welcome to WISH

You do have a great attitude. That is awesome!

You have a good plan in place and I know you can do it. Keep up the good work!

Have a great weekend

Thanks Tracy! You reminded me that I haven't written in a while.

Things have been busy and I was sick for a few days last week. Now with the Christmas decorations up, I am really crowded and there isn't too much room to workout. And with the weather getting colder, I am not sure where I am going to work out. And with Thanksgiving coming up....Uggh. I have been pigging out too much, I did manage to lose 1.5lbs.

Congrats on your weight loss. Keep up the good work!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Keep on
Chris
