Today was a very exciting day! Although I had packed my bags over a week ago, I still felt the need to pack and re-pack at least a dozen times today! Apparently I packed nearly every single article of summer clothing I own, because when the time came for my family and I to go out to Bel-Air Grill for dinner, I had to wear one of my little summer dresses because I had no shorts left!! Still one of my favorite memories.
Anyways On the way to dinner we dropped off my luggage at Cathys house so they could go ahead and pack my stuff when they packed theirs.
Dinner was great. I dont remember what I ate though. I barely paid attention to anything today, I was so excited!
Cathy called at about 11:15pm tonight, just to make sure I was ready. Duh! I had been ready for weeks! Such a silly question!
They arrived at my house at about 11:25. I had kept my backpack with my WDW Passporter, poncho, camera, cash, sunglasses, etc. So all we had to do was load up myself and go!!! Oh, and I had my pillow and blanket, too.
Mom, Dad, and Jacob stood on the porch and waved until the car was out of site. Later on, after we had gotten on the interstate, Cathys mom says, I wonder if they are still waving? So I turned around in my seat and yelled, Look, you can still see them waving! Everybody turn around and wave. So everybody turned around and waved! Another favorite memory.
It was pretty stormy on the way down. Lightning and everything at some points. I thought of designs for my wedding dress on the way down. And I came up with the perfect idea! Let me know if youre curious, Ill send you the description.

The weather had cleared up when we got to Atlanta, GA. Im so glad I was awake!!! I LOVE Atlanta at night! So AWSOME!
We stopped at several rest stops on the way down. Most of them are a blur, since I fell in and out of sleep on the way down. I do, however, remember our first Florida rest stop. When we got out of the car, I could smell the ocean! I could hardly keep from screaming and turning cartwheels at this point. Palm trees galore. I was busy looking for lizards. No, I didnt want to run and chase after them like my DB (Dear Brother, Jacob) usually does, I was trying to steer clear of them. I didnt want them running and chasing after me! J
While we were standing around (can you believe we were actually standing around when Disney World was practically right around the corner?!) J I noticed Cathys mom looking back towards the way we had just come. Look, she points, theyre still waving! I jumped up and down and yelled Hi Mom, I made it! Yet another great memory! J
After driving for a couple more hours, we stop at a combination gas station/Hardees for a sausage biscuit and bottled water out of the cooler.J
Now, heres the totally wonderful, awesome, great part After driving for about another hour, we start seeing Disney World billboards along the road!!!! So every few minutes it was, Look theres Tower of Terror! and Look, its Animal Kingdom! and even an occasional Look, theres a bunch of palm trees!
When we started catching glimpses of the Disney Transportation busses, me and Cathy both nearly jumped out of the car. Well ride one of those the rest of the way! yells Cathy. Yeah, hurry, lets flag him down! I added. But alas, we had to stay in the car until we arrived at the All-Star Music Resort.
According to my WDW Passporter, our first impression of the hotel was: WOW!! NEAT!! COOL!! And looking back, thats still the same feeling I get when I think of the All-Star Music.
To be continued... Dum dum dum
