AMA ticket upgrade??

I was on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies : New : Everything about WDW tickets thread and I think I can upgrade, but was wondering if anyone from Canada has done it. I wanted to buy a kids 7 day waterparks and more ticket from AMA and upgrade to a regular annual pass when we get to wdw. Has anyone here done that from AMA in Canada?

The reason I want to do this is I have CAA dollars that will pay for the ticket here and then I would have to pay for the difference there? Has anyone done this?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'AMA'....but I have redeemed my airmiles for a pass and then upgraded it at guest relations at DTD. With no trouble at all. I only paid the published amount that was the difference between what I had and what I wanted. I upgraded a 5 day base for a 6 day no expire.

I don't know of any reason why you can't upgrade after you get there.

I would highly recommend that you use 1 day or more on that ticket before you try to upgrade. Once a ticket has been used Guest relations can not tell where the ticket came from. Which means they can't tell if it was discounted or not.

If you upgrade without using the ticket you will have to pay first, the difference between what you paid and what it's worth. Then, you will have to pay the cost of the upgrade.
