Hi all:thumbsup2

I am hoping to book a cabana for one day of our stay and had been thinking of a second day on the executive lanai, but there are only 4 of us and that seems to be a waste.

I found a review online which I think was quite old and it showed pictures of casabellas on a deck outside Ama Ama and I wondered if these are still available to book?

If so, Am I right in thinking one deck has three and the other has two? As we'd want to book the deck with two.:thumbsup2

Finally the picture I've seen was in the shade, and I just wanted to check whether it is a very shaded area, as whilst I know the boys will want some shade, i will be mainly using it to sit in the sun!:goodvibes

Many thanks for any info:thumbsup2

You do not get the whole deck when you book a Casabella. You choose your location of the casabella and pay the rate for one 2 seater. If you want the whole upper deck, you will have to pay for both casabellas. There are a few umbrellas there, but most of the space is in the sun. The only shade really is under the casabella. The decks are not private like the executive lanai is.
Hope that helps.

That is very helpful, thank you :thumbsup2

If that's the case, I'm wondering whether we just try to get one of the beach casabellas on the day - they actually look like they are in a nicer position - am I right?

If I want one of those, though I suspect I have to get to the hut pretty quickly in the morning, am I right?:thumbsup2

They did not seem like the casabellas on the beach were 100% occupied when we were there in July.

Thanks ever so much - I think we might well try for a beach one one day

I've actually just rung Aulani to book a cabana and decided to book one day at Ama Ama in a casabella - I asked them which view was better - and said presumably it's the lower deck due to the increased cost - and was told that the lower deck is more expensive because it seats 6 - she then went on to say that for $90 on the upper deck, we will be getting seating for 4 (2 casabellas). Is she wrong?

I don't mind either way, because most of the time it will just be two of us sat there, but it would be great if we could all sit at once:)
