AM ticket voucher activation

Heading down to UO with Airmiles ticket vouchers which start August 20th with the plan to upgrade to annual passes right away. If I get there the night before would it be possible to redeem the vouchers on the 19th and, even if they are not valid until the 20th, immediately them to APs and be able to get into the parks on the 19th?

Guest services is open a half an hour after closing, I believe. So you will need to make sure that they are still open.
