DD's teacher asked me to bring in something to contribute to the Thanksgiving Friendship Feast next week. (It's going to be a big snack that they all make together). Each family was asked to bring in a specific item. Things such as cheese balls, popcorn, raisins, etc.

They asked me to bring in Chocolate Covered Yogurt. :confused3

I'm not sure what this is? Choc covered yogurt pretzles? Or is there such a thing as chocolate covered yogurt...that isn't like real yogurt...that would be mixed in with this type of snack? (I wouldn't think they'd want REAL chocolate yogurt...would they?)

I feel like such a noob kindergarten mom for not knowing this! :rolleyes1 :headache:

I think they mean chocolate yogurt covered pretzels or raisins. I did a google search and turned up nothing like what they asked for. I would guess it would NOT be yogurt covered peanuts, so pretzels or raisins are all that is left. I would send that in and not give it another thought.

I have heard of chocolate covered things, and yogurt covered things, but never chocolate covered yogurt. :confused3

Riight! This is what I'm sayin'!

I've googled it, everything...no luck. I've got an email in to the teacher but I haven't heard back. maybe she doesn't know, either. :rotfl:

Don't feel bad, I have older kids and would have no clue what that meant if I got that note!!!

It would definitely be one to get clarified. I've always gotten lucky with things like apples or paper plates! We shall see what next year brings (my youngest is going off to K then).

Nope you are not weird. ;)

My DD signed me up for my "famous" Chinese Chicken Salad for their feast:confused3 yes, she wrote "Famous" on the sign up sheet. Now, I have never served it at Thanksgiving or any other winter holiday for that matter. I told her it was not really Thanksgiving related and her response "I don't care, I like it and our teacher said it didn't have to be about Thanksgiving" allrighty then.....Chinese Chicken Salad it is.........mine is not nearly as complicated as yours OP;)

They are like the choc cover raisins they will be in that area of the store.
I also have a kind. I had to bring in heavy whipping whip (to make butter). I have never bought heavy whipping cream before, so I had to look for it.

Maybe she was talking about chocolate covered yogurt raisins.

I saw them yesterday at Wegmans, I do not buy them but I buy they vanilla yogrut raisins. The are made by Sunmaid.

When I was in elementary school (40 years ago!) I was assigned "Green Goddess Salad." My mom had no idea what this was, and it was pre-internet. She made an ambrosia with pistachio pudding, etc.

Turns out "Green Goddess" is a specific type of salad dressing. How many of YOU knew that? :confused3

I love Green Goddess Salad dressing! There's all ways a bottle in the fridge

Ok, people, you are not feeding your kids enough junk food! Chocolate covered yogurt can be found in the cereal aisle, down past the poptarts, mixed in with the fruit roll ups and gummy fruit snacks. It is little balls of yogurty type stuff, covered in chocolate. It's pretty gross, but as it comes in small snack size bags, it is easy to throw in a lunchbox. Gosh, are you feeding your kids real yogurt or something:rotfl: ???

i thought yogos were all different colors, like candy coated---is that chocolate?

It's not YoGo's is it?

I taught Kindergarten for 8 years & I have a child in 2nd grade. But....I have no idea what the teacher is asking for. Try sending her a note tomorrow. If she doesn't respond, then just send in whatever you want to.

I was thinking Yogo's too. I haven't heard back from the teacher yet, so if I don't hear from her that's probably what I'll get.

I thought our house was filled with junkfood junkies. I think I might have to raise the bar a bit...:rotfl:
