All I want to know is what is on tv, what channel it is on, and what time it is on! I hate the new tv guide!!! Where are the listings for morning shows? Where are the listings for weekend morning and daytime shows? What happened to Sunday morning programming? Why do I have to shift through page after page of information I don't care anything about just to find out what is on tv? AND THEN NOT FIND IT!!!!!!!

I even took their suggestion and checked out their website, tvguide.com. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I still had to hunt around for information and still did not find what I was looking for!

I want the old tv guide back. At least it made chronological sense!!!

Am I missing something here? If you can locate Sunday morning programming or early morning programming in your new tv guide, I'd love to know where it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if the changes to TV Guide were changes for the better or not; time will tell. What I think we can be sure of is that changes were necessary. The whole idea of a printed TV Guide is dying. I surely have no interest in messing around with a magazine for TV listings anymore, no matter what size the magazine is, and no matter how they arrange the listings.

I hate it too. Our subscription runs out in July and when they send the renewal form I'm going to send it right back, with a letter explaining why we are NOT renewing.

I buy the TV Guide to see what is on TV, I don't buy it for the articles. When it was in the smaller format it was easy to find what I wanted, and there were a few articles but not many. Now it is "just another magazine" and I don't like it, or the big size, at all. And I don't appreciate having to go on-line to see the daytime schedule!! Ridiculous!!

You are not alone. I hate it! I used to like when it started on Saturday, but they changed that. They used to have nice grids for each sport, and they changed that. And now, like you said, the morning and daytime stuff....forget it! While I like the articles about celebrities and stuff I would buy People magazine if I wanted that, not "TV Guide".

You'll appreciate this.
I'm just eating breakfast and the TV Guide was on the counter. I went on to tell DH about this thread and how I'm not the only one who is aggravated. I gave it to him and told him to tell me whats on at 10:00 am on Monday. He's been flipping pages for 5 minutes :rotfl2:

Our family will not renew our TV Guide subscription either. We have a free subscription now and won't renew it if it's free. I now toss it into the trash as soon as it comes in the mail. Who needs the frustration.

I lasted about a month with the new one before I called and cancelled my subscription. I hated it also.

I had no problem getting my money back.

We now are using the one that comes with our Sunday paper, but I prefer the old TV Guide. Maybe if enough people complain/cancel they will go back to the original version.

I've done it more than once. Kind of like, I know it isn't there but I have to keep checking to be sure because I can't believe they wouldn't include it. And I agree with the poster who said if they wanted to read all that celeb stuff they'd buy People magazine. We have a subscription but I am NOT renewing it. Life is short. I don't need the frustration! :)

Edited to add- haha! I just realized that you were the one who said that about People magazine! :rotfl:

I cancelled mine after I received the 2nd issue. I also didnt like the larger version because it didnt fit into my end table drawer anymore.

I hated it, I had prepaid up till 2008, so they owe me a huge refund. That was 2 months ago, I still didnt recieve a refund, it took me 2 days of calling before I finally got a human on the line. I should be getting it in about 2 weeks.

We just use the cable guide on the TV or what comes in the Sunday paper.

I don't get the TV Guide any longer but my Mom does and she hates it.

I just thought it would be quicker to pick up the tv guide and flip to the right page than to scroll through the cable guide on tv. But when, and IF, I ever found the listing in the tv guide, the show I wanted to see would have been over.

I don't need this stress! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I will not be renewing, mine expires 1/31. I've been using the one that comes with the Sunday paper.

After subscribing for 20+ years, I did not renew. My subscription expired three weeks after the change, and I cannot understate how much I detest not only the new format, but particularly the change in editorial tone and concept.

I would have thought it would have been cheaper and more economical for TV Guide and People magazine to simply merge and insert TV listings inside People magazine because that's what the new TV Guide has become....

It's funny that many have mentioned People magazine. I think TV Guide wanted to look like People - I've almost grabbed the new TV Guide by accident several times when I was buying my People magazine at the check out.

I sympathize with all of you trying to find out what is on in the daytime - around here I don't have to wonder - it's Noggin all day! ;)

Are they owned by the same company? :confused3:

The new TV guide, I buy it every week now that its .99c. I love the articles on the TV stars, you learn so much about the stars and the shows now. ;)

Add me to the list of unhappy tvguide subscribers. I won't even renew if it's offered again free. I reallllllly miss my little tvguide.

I thought the new format was OK (didn't really care), until I started trying to find a schedule for weekends during the day. Do they think that nobody watches TV on the weekend except at night? :confused3

I haven't cancelled yet; I'm kinda waiting to see if they get a clue and start including the missing pieces. :sad2:
