I must be the only person that couldn't care less about having a room near the elevator. In fact I prefer to be far away from the elevator. Is there anyone else out there like me?
I'm with you, I personally LIKED being at the end of the hall. It was much quieter. No traffic and only people on one side of you. Extra walk is so much worth it. Pretty much everyone goes by your room when you're by the elevator.
If it was up to me I'd be on the top floor at the far end of the hall of any hotel I've ever been in! I don't like being near the elevator, the ice machine, the laundry room, the maid's room or anything else that generates traffic and noise!

I don't care were the room is as long as I have a clean room. I do prefer to be away from elevators and at the end of a hall, there is less noise of people coming and going
that likes being close to the elevator. I have two small children. I don't want them running through the hallway and making noise. So the closer to the elevator the better this way they are not disturbing the others.
After a long walk in the park...I don't want to do any more walking so I prefer to be near the elevator so I can get to our room fast and flop on the bed.
I have 4 more days!! Yahoooo!!! HRH/RPR and CBR/AS here we come!!
