Day trip to parks or some other location within WDW.
Book DVC stay for that night.
I have an AP.
Arrive at resort, get new MB, it works on the room, and then try to use MB in the parks-no good for entry or FP+.
I have two MDE accounts due to having two different DVC memberships, which I need to manage separately due to family members being on one membership but not on the other.
My AP can only be linked to one of my MDE accounts per DVC and MDE tech staff.
I booked the DVC stay through my membership that is not connected to the AP, that is why my MB did not work in the parks, according to DVC and MDE tech staff. The MBs from the non-AP MDE account can not be shown in the account of the AP MDE account per MDE tech staff. Even though the accounts are linked and everything should be showing in both.
This is supposely the first time the supervisors at DVC have heard of my issue. The supervisors at DVC are sending my issue up the chain-of-command.

More of anything greatly increases you chance of problems. More than one membership, more than one contract, more than one resort per vacation, more than one ADR, more than one magic band, and more than one park.

That's just the way it is.

That sucks! Sorry to hear that.

I did not link my MDE to my DVC account (about to be accounts). I use my MDE solely for AP,MB, ADRs, and FP+. It is a bit more work since I have to link each room reservation to the MDE.

Maybe you can have them separate it? or create a separate MDE just for MDE and not linked to your DVC.

While I can understand that Disney might not test people with multiple DVC memberships, isn't this like any guest with an AP and a MDE account staying in a room booked by a friend or grandparent?

The issue is with the tickets, not the room. One ticket linked to one MDE account.

I wonder if you could have just linked the room reservation to the account with the AP. Would they have let you?

The more I think about your situation, the more I am beginning to believe you may actually be the only person who has set up two separate MDE accounts who has an AP you want applied to both. Typically, even if you have two different DVC membership numbers, you need only one MDE account (that is my situation). Also, for any given room reservation everything in the MDE account for that trip (MB's, tickets being used, FP+, even restaurant reservations) get limited to those actually named on the reservation, and thus most of us would not think of setting up two accounts to assure the division. And finally, it takes so damn long to set up an acocunt and get everything done that there are likely few who would want to go through that torture twice. Not sure what the solution can or will be for your situation but wish you good luck and let us know if a solution is found.

It totally makes sense to me that a ticket could only be linked to one MDE account. I don't really see it as a problem that Disney needs to fix.

There are no direct ties between DVC (contracts, points, reservations, etc) and MDE. A single individual should have only ONE MDE account regardless of DVC ownership.

I'm assuming you have multiple DISNEY accounts due to different DVC contracts. But you should never have created MDE accounts for both.

Use one MDE account to manage park tickets and other data. When reservations are made--under any/all DVC contracts--you simply retrieve the reservation number under the ONE MDE account.

I am in the exact same situation. Recently closed on a BLT contract just listed for my DH and me. We also have a SSR contract with our parents listed. It was a nightmare trying to get my login setup for the new account. I had to create a new DVC login with a differed email address. They also told me to create a new MDE with that email address because it can only be linked to DVC membership. We also have AP's so I'm a bit nervous as to what will happen now???

I edited to add that I have not created anther MDE yet. I have 2 upcoming trips planned, one using the SSR contract and the other using the BLT contract. I have both of those trips showing in MDE (which has my SSR contract linked to it). I also have my AP's linked to that account so maybe that will work?

I was also thinking that there shouldn't be any need to have two separate MDE accounts simply because you have two DVC memberships. I have 2 DVC memberships but only one MDE account. If MDE is not linking my reservation to me then I link it manually.

MDE is a place for a single person to organize their info. It is not a whole other separate entity in itself. Think of it this way. There are lots of people that rent and link the reservations to their MDE account even though they don't own the DVC account. Also essentially when people book rooms at Disney they are renting from the owner (Disney) - and the room reservation only is being linked to their MDE account. I think the IT people you've spoken to have gotten confused in their recommendations.

i also have two memberships due to different uys. one has dual ownership with my daughter and grandchildren. but we use pts from either one or the other or both together for reservations and the aps should work on either one.;) i always pay for everything as a gift to my children.

sometimes things are made:confused: unnecessarily complicated. this should be fixed and probably will be in time. after all it is still in the testing period.

I agree.

I don't think there should be a need for two MDE accounts. Two DVC accounts, fine. Heck, DH and I have different logins because I'm the associate (I never even activated mine; I just use his, which I set up, LOL), and the MDE is set up in my name...So DVC in his name, MDE in mine, and they synch up just fine.

Again, you don't need 2 MDE accounts just because you have two DVC memberships. They really aren't related in that way. There is nothing to fix.

I had problems at first as well since we have 2 DVC logins due to different names on deeds. What it comes down to is just pick one and put all your info there. Now only the one membership actually linked to the MDE account will have reservations automatically link up, the others you will have to link the reservation manually.

If you already have your reservations linked to your various MDE accounts, only a Disney CM can get them all over into one account. Just know that from this point on, just use one MDE account and manually link the others.
