of the posts about parenting? Come on folks are these people such perfect specimens of humanity that they can judge how you and I(sorry,me) parent our children?
Before the flames start stating that I don't have to read them-duh, I like to read through and find the brave souls who dare to question the 14 kt-or maybe 22kt parenting know-how of the judgers.

I never judge parenting style, I only judge who is sexy

Since I have over 10,000 posts, I guess I have to say no!:lmao:
Parenting threads are a DISboards regular item on the menu.
You just post your thing and move on.

You know what they say about opinions....everyone has one.

They also say that in conjunction with a certain part of the anatomy! :rotfl2:

Not the parenting ones I don't think, but with several other genres I am. :badpc: But then who am I to talk, LOL, I have been told others are tired of my picture/music threads. :confused3 :lmao:

how about planting? since i am not a paren t (ecpet to a dog) i don't coment on parenting threads because i woudln't know what i was tlaking about. i just ignore them. luckinly on the dis there's a lot to choose from. :) :)

Now as I planter,I am an exceptional human Bean!

The CB will always have parenting threads. As with anything else, we discuss issues near and dear to many of us...and there are always differing opinions when so many people particpate in one forum. I think, for the most part, they are enlightening and interesting.

I find the parent threads amusing, actually, for many reasons.

I'm actually sick of the "Crocs" threads, I mean come on, they're SHOES, so what?? Why do some people have to talk about them on a daily basis?

I have to agree, I do like the parenting threads much better than the crocs threads!

And honestly, I have sometimes learned some stuff from the parenting threads.

I am really pretty easy -- as long as how you raise your kid doesn't affect me negatively.

You can run a freaking nudist colony of a home with no rules whatsoever and let your kids talk back, swear like sailors and destroy the house and everything in it.

But if your kid is running around my table at the California Grill and you are either ignoring it or worse yet grinning like you think it's cute -- I'll be judging you. Count on it.

If my sons are running around your table, then I won't blame you. One is 30 and the other is 22. :lmao:

I'm with you auntpolly. Not only will I be judging you, I'll also be telling you to control your little darling and keep them away from me while I am trying to enjoy my dinner.

You should see some of the threads that pop up on the Family board occasionally. Some of those people are really zealous!

I don't mind because I don't really care what other people think about what I do and some of the comments can get interesting. The only threads that get tiresome IMO, is the slam-the-celebrity ones. I guess that I shouldn't care and I usually ignore them but it still gets annoying sometimes.

I'm not tired of or irritated by the threads. Sometimes I choose to read them and other times I don't.

What I find humorous is the people who talk about their wonderful children and how they are that way, not because of luck but because they did such a great job at teaching them how to behave. I'm humored because if I had of stopped at 3 children I'd be saying the same thing! :teeth:

In all honesty, I do that that parenting has a lot to do with how kids act in restaurants, etc, but some kids are easier to mold than others. It's took me from the time my son was 1-5yo to really make him into a presentable enough little boy that I could bring him to restaurants, etc without having to bring him back out to the van or discipline him in some way. Luck of the draw concerning what personality of child you end up with does come into play, however.

It's true that parenting is a big topic on the DIS. It's something that we all have opinions about, because even if we don't have children, we see them on a regular basis. And we were all once children, so we all have something to contribute.
