Am I the only one mad about Fairytale Magic?

Thanks to those of you who've offered some helpful suggestions. As I said - I wouldn't change my plans anyway - but I have an employee/friend who wanted to join the DC back in January when they decided they wanted to go this year. Since the materials they sent me were very specific about not letting anyone join after December (13th I think) and to throw away everything - I did. She'd never been a member so she can't renew anything now. I really didn't think she'd miss much because they really haven't had any good deals that you couldn't get anyway with a code for the last several years. The closest Disney store to us is 2 1/2 hours away so unless someone was planning a trip the incentive to join just wasn't there before.

But I will keep an eye out for her to see if this does open up to the general public. For someone like her - she'll want to do EVERYTHING - this will be a good deal. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not mad. Even though I can't take advantage of it since I'm only staying 3 nights, I'm thrilled to see a discount offered to the residents of the other 49 states. I get mad about Florida-resident rates.

How do I renew my DC? Who do I contact? We let ours lapse in March because they said it wasn't renewable.

I'm terrified now that we won't even be able to get a deluxe resort/room if we end up going in September (we won't know until September). Do you guys think they will be all booked up then? I was really hoping to stay at BC/YC this time. We've stayed at Poly Concierge and AKL Concierge and I wanted to try something closer to Epcot and SAB.

I think this is absolutely BRILLIANT marketing! It should bring much missed guests back to the onsite resorts, and keep them in the parks, spending money on food, souveniers and others things. They will enjoy it so much, they will want to come back and experience the magic time and again.

Hopefully, it will cause PO-FQ to reopen sooner, and fill up the new Pop Century when it opens in December.

It is SO exciting to think that the resorts and parks may actually be busy this year, after such a long time!

I get mad about Florida-resident rates.

As for this, well... since many people aren't flying, they have a captive audience in Florida... why not give them incentive to visit the parks. I sure don't have any problem with that! Other theme parks throughout the country offer deals to people within their states, as well, and no one seems to have any problem with that.
