am I stranded????????

I'll be staying at ASM in the spring for one week, I cannot affortd to rent a car for the whole week, but possibly will for one day. My question is am I stranded at WDW, or how can I access offsite dining etc?.....is there a reasonably priced taxi service in the area ?...any idea on fares?

Depending on what time of year, you may be able to rent a car from Orlando airport for a whole week, taxes and fees included, (you need to have your own car insurance or insurance from a credit card) for less than $150.

You then won't need to use Mears' shuttle and that offsets the first $25.00 of car rental.

I am guessing that one round trip by taxi anywhere meaningful outside WDW is going to cost you at least $40.00 including the tips.
