Am I picking the wrong time of the year?

Planning our trip for next year and was thinking about 4th-8th of May to coincide with my 30th birthday, also it should be quiet since all schools are back open. Just realised that one of the other threads on here says a few key rides will be closed during this time (Dumbo etc) - there seem to be no fireworks...I think the enchanted fireworks have finished by then...is candlebration even on?


Have i chosen the wrong time of year? Should we wait and go in the summer?

It is the Mayday bank holiday so it may be a bit busier.

The fireworks will not be on I am afraid - you would have to go in the summer

Also i don't think Candleabration will be on then, the 15th anniversary celebrations end in March.

All the 15th anniversary stuff, including Candleabration, finishes in March next year. There are no fireworks or evening parades outside of high summer season (ie July and August) and there are evening parades in December, but no fireworks.

However, next year is Mickeys Party year at DLRP - if you look on DLRPMagic, there is already a lot of information about whats planned from April 2009.

I'm really excited about the planned Cars n Stars event which is starting in the Studios next March , and I'm planning a trip in April mainly to see it.

I was going to just say what the others have said: Fireworks are only on in Summer season. And the 15th Anniversary celebrations end in March, so Candleabration probs won't be on.

We went the first week in May this year. THe weather was beautiful, but the parks were quite crowded. As someone already mentioned, there is a UK bank holiday on the Monday. While we were there the Thursday was a public holiday in France & it seems that most places took the Friday as well - but I don't know if this is the case in 2009.
