We changed our disney vacation (July 4-10) to Universal staying at royal Pacific...Since weve been going, July 07, 08, and 09 we have had wonderful stress free no line waiting vacations at Universal always staying onsite. I have a feeling the WWOHP will change all that?! We were going to wait till next summer to go, but with my son graduating hs next may I feel this is probably our last vacation as a family.
Am i nuts to think is gonna be like years past or am I in for a "hurry, hurry lets get here, lets get there" vacation??

Even though this year will be busier than in years past...you will still have a great time!

Nope, not at all!. We where thinking the exact same thing to:rotfl2:, thought, well we will just do US next year give It time to settle down. But for us (my DS grads next year) thought minds well with us being at WDW any way,so we took four days off our WDW trip :scared1: and going to be at the Hard Rock with all of the crazy Potter fans.:cool1:

Nope, not nuts at all. We've added a 3 day vacation beginnning of June just in the the hopes of soft openings...if there aren't any we'll still have a blast. Then we are going back the end of August. We were already there the middle of Feb. this year. The whole Harry Potter thing makes it very exciting!!!

We're in a similar situation. Booked a trip to US, staying on-site the VERY week that HP opens. We booked it BEFORE we knew what an awful choice of weeks that would be!

I console myself by thinking (and this applies to you as well) that because we have been to US/IOA so many times, there is no great rush to see every inch of each park. And having an on-site hotel, if things get crazy in the park, I'm just as happy lounging by the pool, returning to the park later to do a certain ride and then running away again if I can't stand the crowds. It's a much more leisurely experience when you are on-site and when you have really seen it all before.

Plus...nobody mentions this, but it's important....the hours are going to be WAAYYYY longer than other times during the season. Plain and simple, you have more time to play with. More time to run between the park and hotel. No rush to get it all done in a certain amount of time.

Relax - we are going to have a great time!

Now I just need to stop worrying about this oil spill (we are also doing a few days on the Gulf Coast. Now THAT is stressful!
