I have a question for all of you. We have rented cars on too many occasions to mention and lately I have been noticing a trend.
For instance, I searched National and got a rate of $307 for an intermediate car for 10 days on their web site with NO Codes. I then went to the AARP site (I am a member) and followed the link to National and supposedly got the "discount" and the price came to $307! I then plugged in the same days with the COSTCO 25% discount code and got the price of $307! Now I was really curious so I called the 800 number and asked for a rate for the same period and got a rate of $307 using NO codes or web site. Now I am beginning to wonder if all this time I am spending searching for codes is worth the effort since I don't seem to be getting a bargain.
Anyone else????
