Am I missing something?

I was just wondering if it is just me or do some people go way overboard when it comes to these pins. I don't think any pin or pin set is worth what some people pay.
Check out item #2165137478. 10,000 for a set of pins. I don't care if they were solid gold. I could buy a car for that!
And this one 2166277347. $795? How big is that pin? Better be lifesize for that much money. Another of that same pin sold for $750.
Why am I always home when those types of pins go on the racks? Peggie

That first one sounds like a mistake to me. Why would the bidding jump from $43 to $9999?? Perhaps a lost decimal point? Or some funny business between seller and "buyer"?

Second one: if some nitwit is willing to pay $795 for a free pin, then more power to the seller I guess. I don't care how "rare" it is...no pin is worth that much money.

The first one looks like a couple of kids from South Korea having "fun". Not nice, but it happens.

The second one looks legit. All I can say is "I don't beleave I turned down a trade for one of them!!!"

Again - what's a piece of canvis with some tinted oils on it worth? If it's bya guy named Rembrant - a whole lot of money. What is a hunk of metal with some melted glass on it woth? Could be quite a lot if its got a pin on the back, or it could be nothing!
