 hi! this will be the second time taking my DM & DB (17) to Disneyyy!!!!

We went August 2009, DxDP & stayed at CBR. We liked it, but due to DM's mobility & health situation (heart failure, diabetes & mobility limitation) I don't think she enjoyed herself quite as much because of all the walking. SOoOoO this time, we're staying at the CONTEMPORARY! WOO!:cheer2: We haven't been to a deluxe in six years, and NEVER on the monorail! Anway, enough about me, let's get to the topic: FOOD!

We're going to be in the World 12/12-12/18. We arrive via AirTran at 10:54 at MCO and will be using ME.
So, here are our ADR's ...as of now...as I type this I have the online dining reservations on another tab...haha

12/12 Arrive, Check in and head to MGM!
(now, I need input, with arriving at airport at 11am, could we make the BD reservation?)
Brown Derby 2:30
Yachtsman 8:35

12/13 MAGIC KINGDOM BABY!
Harmony Barber Shop *all three of us, we want pixie dust :cool1:
two of us at 10 & then the last at 10:30
Grand Floridian Cafe
Artist Point

12/14 AK & DTD
Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Kona Cafe

12/15 EPCOT! :yay:
Tutto
Coral Reef w/ Candlelight Processional

12/16 Magic Kingdom, again
Liberty Tree Tavern
Citrico's

12/17 EPCOT
Via Napoli
La Hacienda

12/18 MGM & ...leaving :sad1::sad2:
50's Prime Time

we would have LOVED character dining & more reservations inside MK, but with late changes of vacation week, they were all gone :sad1:

so, how does those sound?!

Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Kona Cafe
If you're going to be in AK, I would change eat lunch at Yak and Yeti. Not sure if theyre on the DDP though. I would cancel Kona and go to WPC for dinner. I wasn't impressed with Kona, and Yak and Yeti has been excellent 3 times for me.

12/15 EPCOT! :yay:

Citrico's - Best signature in my book! I love it there!

50's Prime Time

we would have LOVED character dining & more reservations inside MK, but with late changes of vacation week, they were all gone :sad1: I would keep checking - stuff gets cancelled all the time so you might still be able to get some other things you wanted.

so, how does those sound?!

Sounds like a good use of your credits to me. Also sounds like it will be a very yummy (albeit filling!) trip. :)

And don't forget - if last minute changes occurs - you can use your credits for room service at the CR (2 credits but includes the gratuity so there are no additional charges).

If you like a character meal, I would try to get Tusker House Breakfast buffet (great character interaction and yummy food). Everytime we go there is no line for food.

Your dining choices sound great.
I think you can catch the Brown Derby on your arrival day. You should be able to, but ME has been hit or miss for me - have waited up to an hour before even departing the airport. Also, make sure you are taking advantage of having ME get your checked bags for you. Our trip last week was a late night arrival and we could not use ME bag service, I am not exaggerating saying that it was 1 hour from the time our plane landed to getting our checked stuff at baggage claim. Even if it takes over an hour to get on your ME, an hour to your resort, you can just turn right around and head off to DHS.

Great choice with the barber shop - we love it there!

Yeah, your ADRs look fine (except, as noted, the AK day, which has you running all over the property, it seems).

The biggest issue is making that HBD on your first day. I'd say you were cutting it close -- by the time you arrive, check in to ME, get bussed to the resort, check in, and get a bus to DHS, you should have time, but you really can't afford much in the way of delays.

I think most of your ADRs look great...if your plane is on time, I think you'll make the HBD. I suspect with a lunch ADR that late, if you're a bit late showing up you'll still get fed, lol.

If you're planning on leaving AK by noon or so, anyway, heading to DTD, that Wolfgang Puck Cafe will work fine (We loved eating at WPC. We're always done with AK by lunchtime, and have done exactly that --gone to DTD for lunch.) So if you're set on wanting WPC, keep it. If you don't want to rush your AK visit, switch lunch to Yak & Yeti in AK. It is on the dining plan, and it's good. If Yak & Yeti doesn't appeal, you could try Tusker House, it's good too.

We had a less than stellar meal at Yachtsman...I'd switch that to Flying Fish if you're going to be in the Boardwalk area anyway. If you keep Yachtsman, do not recommend the "prime" steak they push. It's mediocre.

we've decide to cut grand floridian cafe & kona to make room for flying fish that tuesday:goodvibes
