Am I in the system??

I got an email from DVC with an activation number telling me to log on using this one time activation number. It said I need my ID number which will be with the documents that I don't have yet. I was wondering if that meant I was in Disney's system. I was also wondering if I had to wait for the ID card before I could book. Even if I am not in the system I am excited to get an email that says WELCOME HOME.
 
You can call Member Services and they can help you setup your web account.

We closed in Dec, booked all our 2007 and 2008 points in January and we still don't have our membership cards!!!

Yes, you should be in the system. Actually, you've probably been in the system for a little while to get that email.

Call Member Services and they can give you your member number over the phone. As mentioned above, they will also help you with your online setup.

You won't get the actual card for a few weeks yet, but you can go ahead and make reservations. (You don't actually use the card for anything except some of the member perks onsite.)

Be sure to take a couple of extra minutes to verify that the points in your account are correct. Also, every time after you make a ressie, take an extra minute and go back over everything with the CM to be sure you know exactly how many points were used, where they came from, and how many are left in various Use Years. If there is a mistake or misunderstanding, it's a LOT easier to get it cleared up right then.

Thanks I will. I can not believe how quick I am in the system, I just closed a few days ago.
 

We also closed in Dec and have made our 2008 reservations, by simply call Members Services. We are in the system but have not received Membership Cards.
 
Same story here. How long does it take to get the membership cards? Do they just come in a regular envelope or do we get any "extras" with them?
 
Same here. Closed Dec. 4......booked our Nov. trip.
No membership cards....no Club ID, just pin numbers.....no e-mails either.
I will be calling after the 1st (and the long wait time on the phone is hopefully shorter)

OP - I was going to ask the same question - we closed Wed Jan 23 and got the same e-mail today. I thought we would have to wait until Wed or later to make ressies - but now I will call tomorrow:banana:

BTW - we are SSR newbies - where will you be??
 
Was your contract a resale or thur Disney I closed 5 days ago I am in the system but no points are showing and I did not recieve any e-mail. But my contract was a resale.
 
We were also resale through TTS.
Still no membership cards or club ID. We closed 12-4. I was told it could take 4-6 business weeks. I assume the holidays slowed everything down.
 
:tink: What a surprise! :cheer2: We recieved our membership cards today. Now we feel like members of the Disney family.:beach:
 
We got our cards today too!

We also got a mailer that listed the latest promos and our Guide.

I will be calling Monday.
Maybe they mailed all the Dec. ones at once and it takes longer to get all the way over here....I can hope ;)
