Come home from college to Sarah jumping up and down saying she has found a price for Orlando.

We have booked 1 week at the Quality Inn Maingate West with First Choice and an intermediate car with platinum insurance for £1200 for the 4 of us.

I know it is a budget hotel but I would really like some info on that 3rd week in June, what are peoples experiences? I am used to October so I know it is going to be different. Any help would be great.

We are going next year for a proper 3 weeks in October so there is no pressure for this to be an outstanding holiday so not overly worried.

We were there the third week of June in 2005 and loved it! Yes, it was very hot but quite bearable. October was terrific weather-wise of course but we would go back in June again, no worries. In fact our next trip will be a June one. Obviously drink tons of water (bring it with you to the parks!) and use lots of sunscreen, but you know that anyway. The longer hours in June mean you can take a break in the middle of the day and still get lots of time in the parks in the evening. There'll be lots of showers but just bring ponchos (they sell the throw-away ones for less than a dollar each in Walmarts) and you'll be fine. Have fun! :thumbsup2

What an amazing price! Quite jealous i can't whip the kids out of school for this, june is supposed to be quite busy but if you get a hold of unofficial guide or tour guide mike and use the touring plans then you should be fine, tgm has never let me down yet:goodvibes The sun can be quite overwhelming at times so rope drop with an afternoon break and back in the evening might be the way to go, happy planning!

Hiya mate,

June will be pretty hot with temps in the 90s.

US schools break up mid June also, so I would expect as the month progresses it will get slightly busier.
Not as hot or as busy as July but you will find the heat a different experience to October and humidity is pretty bad too.

We are looking at perhaps doing other things apart from using a one day water park we have from a few years back and the kids choosing one park for a day. We may give Cypress Gardens ? (Think thats the place) a shot.

Well done to Sarah as that is a brilliant price and definately not to be missed.

We have been many times for only a week and it is amazing how much you can do. I do not know how old your children are so here are some cheap suggestions for tickets to a park to add to your cheap holiday.

Sea World day ticket $55 (2nd day free)
Sea World and Aquatica (7 days either) $76
*Enter promotion code CINGULAR to get these prices (all adult prices)

Universal 7 day ticket $86 (this website main page offer)

If I was you I would pick the Sea World and Aquatica and save your Waterpark ticket for next trip.

Have a lovely holiday you lucky people.

Great price.
June is pretty humid and hot but nothing like July.
We've holidayed June all the time into July, its not as busy beginning of June but does get quite hectic end of june.
I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.:goodvibes

that is a great price, i could put up with anything for that price !

We went in June on our first trip. Crowds were just about bearable. Weather very hot & humid with lots of afternoon thundershowers. Luckily they don't last long at all :thumbsup2

Superb price for sure...I just won a little more than that, so its tempting.....though I doubt the school will authorise another week !

We did Cypress gardens last year and hated it! But you may find it different for you :)
Another place worth visiting is Silver Springs, its a lovely relaxing day out :)

Silver springs may join the agenda, we are just sitting back and having a good think on what we are going to do. The kids are happy if we dont go to Disney and we are a little reluctant to go to Universal and IOA at that time of year as i point blank refuse to pay for the express passes.

We may go for a Sea World/Busch combo ticket, somewhere like Silver Springs, a day at the beach in Daytona or over to a gulf beach and the rest of the days cathcing up oin things we never got chance to do over the last two visits such as Old Town, oh and do some shopping.

Quality inn is a lovely hotel we have stayed there twice once for 3 weeks we will not stay in another off site hotel now as we find this just what we need a bed , a pool , a little bit of breskfast with make your own waffles, and it is clean and friendly. have fun :cool1:

We are thinking of going in June 2010 when Kirsty finishes her exams and like others have said if we could get a cheap price for flights will put up with the crowds and heat.

Hope you have a great time and will be checking back to see how it goes.
