I have changed my PS with the Poly concierge 2 times already and now I have one last change (to add 2 more people to our PS at Ohana). I am worried that they are going to lable me on my reservation as a "difficult guest" (those who are familiar with the show Seinfeld will understand - LOL !!!)
Seriously.... I am curious how much and to what extent you all use the concierge service for your pre-vacation planning. This is our first time staying on site. I have had nothing but courteous and rapid responses from the concierge people, but I hope I don't wear out my welcome

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. I think you'd have to get pretty rude before you'd get labeled "difficult":D

I, too, am staying Poly GVC for the first time. I've had to make a couple of changes to our PS and was wondering the same thing! I think I am finished with changes, so I should be leaving them alone...lol!

The only thing I am curious about it is whether they will send me a copy of my itinerary after all the PS are made? I would like to make sure we got all of our requests, but I don't want to be a pain!

How far after the 90 day mark would you wait to request this?

Thanks for posting what I was thinking!!!

deanna - I'm happy to know that I am in good company! They emailed my itinerary (and subsequest revised itinerary). So, you should perhaps email them and request that they do this for you. I'm sure it is easier for them to email than it is to use regular mail. You will however receive your PS itinerary when you check in (at least that is what I heard).
Have fun!!!!

Ohhh, I'm never difficult. Demanding, and I expect certain things when I pay a high price to stay in concierge.. But never difficult, and always polite.

Don't worry, most people have to change their PS's at least a couple of times! They are used to that, and it's not really an inconvenience. It's the people who abuse them when they don't get the exact room they requested who are labeled "difficult," I'm sure!;)

Have a great time, you're gonna love Poly CL!!::yes::

don't worry, as long as you're polite when you ask to change and will work with them (as in, if you have to add 2 more people to ohana and they need to change your dining time to accomodate, ect) they won't have problems with you.

This is what they do! They make your trip easier!

I prefer booking my own PS's! You might want to save yourself a lot of worry and call WDW-DINE and have them verify the times/number of guests on all your PS's before you leave. Sometimes even concierges make mistakes.

On our last trip, we had a PS for 1900 Park Fare, one for breakfast, one for dinner. Well we decided to forego the b-fast one morning and asked the concierge to cancel.

I had a funny feeling and checked with another concierge a little while later and found out that they had actually cancelled the DINNER that my dd had been looking forward to all trip with Cindy! (and those book up) fortunately they were able to fix it, but it could have been a real mess, she had her gown all ready to go and everything.

So always check, and re-check when they make changes. Usually they're really good about it but you want to be sure you're all set :)

There was once a long time DISer who called daily to AKL concierge, 6months before it opened. She was staying the first week it opened...and she wasn;t classifies as difficult.:D

I think I change my PSs/ressies/requests on a weekly basis-no one has ever said a word. I figure they are nice, I am nice and that is of course what I am paying the big bucks for-to get what I want.

No seriously-they have never, ever been mean or rude or even questioning-they have always been very helpful.

I enjoy using the planning service but I am always courteous and they have always returned the favor to me. One word of caution though. This past July I split my stay between YC and Poly concierge. When I checked in to the YC I was given a copy of my itinerary for the entire week. It was correct and beautifully typed on their stationery. When I checked in to the Poly they didn't even offer me a copy of the itinerary. I didn't really think about it until later since I already had one for the entire week. Later that day I was talking to a member of the staff about something else and I mentioned that I hadn't received one upon check-in. He said he knew there was one for me because he had printed it out that morning himself in anticipation of our arrival. Now I'm feeling better about it until I look at it. It's a poorly run "copy" print that hadn't been updated in about a month prior to my arrival. When I mentioned to him that many of these PS's had been changed and were no longer valid he stated "Oh, I didn't ask for an updated copy." So word of warning, make sure you keep up with your PS's yourself unless you are certain of your planner. Amy at YC sends me an update via e-mail each time she makes a change.

At Disney the term is "Guest with Special Needs" or GSN, we would never use difficult guest! ;)

So if you hear this phrase during your visit, you'll have the real low down!

Happy planning!!!!

LOLOL!!:teeth:

Staying BWI in October.

Have done all of my correspondence to concierge via email, and with each addition/change they have immediately sent me an updated itinerary. Saves time/money over snail mail!

ZuZugal-when are you going in October-there are a few of us staying at BWI-CL then.
