Some advice please??

We did not have Park Hoppers last time and took total advantage of A.M. EMH with our then 1 1/2 yr old and 6 yr old daughters. We had a great trip! For our Thanksgiving week trip with larger group of 8, we have PH and I'm avoiding A.M. EMH (using crowd calendars). We've never been at this time of year, and I'm really intimidated by the higher crowd levels. I feel like I'm doing it all wrong!!! I keep thinking, if our girls are still standing by that time of day, we'll utilize PH and evening EMH.

Depends how late the EMH are. For instance EMH starting at 10pm are going to be a lot more crowded vs EMH starting at midnight.

But as far as PM EMH, why not attend them? By the time you'll be there for EMH at night, most, if not all the other parks will be closed. Depending on how long your kids can stay up, you can get a lot of rides in as crowds slowly thin out the later it gets.

I would avoid AM EMH parks if I didn't have park hoppers

Am I missing some thing , when are you going WDW. Thanksgiving week or some other time frame? Set me straight on this , then I might be able to help you. Thanks Danny

You're kind of backwards here. The smart plan if you don't have hoppers is to avoid EMH parks like the plague, but if you do have hoppers you should take advantage of EMH and then hop to the recommended park.

Yes. :)

Especially during Thanksgiving week when early EMH will be early and most people won't get up to take advantage of them. Get your group up and out the door and you'll have a great first few hours without the HEAVY crowds that will descend on the parks around 10:00 a.m. Then you hop to the most recommended park for the day.

I was thinking this too. It seems maybe OP's family are early risers since they utilized AM EMH before? We're up early too, so I would do what sharonabe is suggesting above.

..............do this^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^...and I would get hoppers regardless. because with crowd level's super heavy youll have a lot more options....go at rope drop crowds start to fill in than go back to your resort take a break than head out in the pm. unless you had planned to do half day in the parks than back at the resort for the night?? I always try not to limit myself

From what we have found EMH tend to be given to the parks expected to be the busiest. We did the EMH in the am once. Never. Again. Our TA advised against it and we figured out why pretty quickly. You are on the right track. We avoided the park that had EMH and did pretty well. However, going during a holiday I'm not sure if it will matter. It will be crazy busy.
