Taking the family (husband, 2 kids - 17 and 13 and a friend for each - 16 and 12) for a week in August 2003. Have been saving for a year and a half to supplement our vacation fund (started after our last trip in 2000). Looking at either 2 adjoining rooms at BC or the 2 bedroom suite at BCV. I know -- pretty spendy either way. But we love the location. Looking for some opinions or advice on which option to go with. Thanks for your help.

Definitely the villas, if you can swing the cost of it.

4 teens along is a gonna be a small fortune in food! Having a kitchen will really help the budget.

Good luck,

herc.

I second the BCV. You will not believe how much you save in snacks alone! We always have teens and we stock the fridge with water, sodas, ice cream, frozen pizza and lots of fruit. I also make substantial deli type sandwiches of beef or turkey, cheese, lettuce, etc., wrap them tightly and leave in fridge. The boys grab those for a "fast food meal" anytime they wish. We also stock in chips and breakfast food.

I would concur with the villas. Those teenagers just eat and eat and eat, don't they?
Plus the villas have that comfortable homey feel.
Renting points from a DVC member for the villas may make it more affordable. You may want to check out the the DVC rent/trade board.
Enjoy!

Definitely the 2BR at the BCV with the kitchen. So much more room & the kitchen speaks for itself.

Check the DVC Rent/Trade Board. We rented points from a DVC member & had a great experience - no problems at all.

Have fun planning! :)
