DS14 and I are booked there for now but I just keep getting visions of hoards of unruly kids banging the doors, running wild, throwing food, butting in lines at the food court and bus stops...you get the picture. Am I crazy to try AS Sports at Spring Break?

we weren't at AS Sports but we were at Pop during Easter. I didn't notice too much commotion at the resort. I did find the parks (esp. MK) more crowded then I was use too. I have on;y gone in sept. before. But that and it was cooler that was all I noticed.

Can only speak for Grad Night... in the last week of April, and not Spring Break. You are crazy to stay there if you value your sleep! I'm a light sleeper so the racing and chasing down the outside corridors and noise from a large group of teens gathering in the couryard (waiting to go to the grad night) was very loud and obnoxious. My advice would be to splurge and stay at a moderate.

In Disney's defense, a simple call to the front desk brought a quick end to the running down the corridors.

Yes - My DD's lax team was there last March for Spring Break. They stayed at All Star Sports and there were LOTS of high school kids there. Even she was annoyed by the cheerleaders practicing in the parking lots at 7 AM.

If you and you DS need to be sure and get quality sleep--invest in some ear plugs, use them at home for awhile prior to going to WDW, and sleep away.
I would imagine it's mostly your sleep you are concerned about.....my teens seem to be able to sleep through anything!!
Another tip--put the do not disturb sign on your door sometime during the night (not too early or it may "disappear"). We found that the maid services were very early in trying to get in rooms to clean and that was our too-early alarm clock most mornings at ASmo--luckily DH and I were early risers and got the sign in place before the DS-16 and DD-14 were disturbed.

Have a wonderful time and "no worries"!

It was four years ago but we stayed at All Star Sports over our March spring break and had no trouble at all. We were in Building 10 and our room faced the area behind the food court and where the bus depot was. Never had any trouble with noise from transportation or kids. I did wake up one night about 1:00 am and heard male voices doing cheers over on the football area between the buildings but it wasn't real loud and I rolled over and went back to sleep. We never noticed any large group of kids anywhere and we know that there were drill team and band competitions going on. I'd go again and stay there at that time of year.
