Am I Crazy (Re: Puerta Vallarta) *Update on 1st post

I could have sworn there was an excursion in PV that was a Swim With The Dolphins, but for kids...ages 4-8 I think. Since day 1 Ive been planning on my kids doing this, but I dont see it listed on Disneys site to prebook. Does anyone know if they discontinued that excursion or is there a reason its not there?

***Update...Well, I was driving DH crazy worrying about this so he gave DCL a call just to see if they still offered it. The woman started asking our #,his birthday,etc... so I figured she was just going to be looking at what we were. Before we knew it, she was offering to book it for us. We got both kids booked and were so excited we forgot to book the observer for ourselves, LOL! We were able to call back and book that too. I am so excited!!! I now have everything booked that I need, Palo Spa, and this.

Thank you DCL for offering this new system! Its the best!!!

A few families that are going on the same cruise as us booked that excursion. This was before the on-line thing. Your cruise has to be paid off and it has to be 90 days before cruise date. One woman called at 6 AM 90 days before and still didn't get the kids together for the swim. She has to take her DD an hour before her DS and DH's time. I don't know if you have to call in still.

Oh, it's still there, I just don't think they put it online. Like a previous poster said...you need to call at your 90 mark, which for your cruise should be May 15 (but call DCL to confirm). You're best bet is to start calling a few minutes before they open. Make sure you're calling at the right time for your time zone...so if you're in CA it would be at 6am.

Also make sure they book the right thing for you. Someone from our group booked their kids for the encounter and themselves as observers and DCL messed it up and put them all in for the encounter. When she called back to inform them of their mistake, they informed her all the observer spots were GONE! After some "discussion" with DCL she was able to get what they thought they originally booked.

LiserAnn, when you say its still there, where do you see it? On DCL's site? I do see one for kids and adults, but I was looking for the one specifically for kids 4-8(and a parent had to go along and observe).

I would call DCL, I wouldn't look for it online. Since your 90 day window hasn't come yet, the excursions couldn't have been booked...unless some Cats 1, 2, or 3 (concierge) got to all the ones that were available, which doesn't seem right...they should have more spots than that. I think concierge folks can book at 105 days out. Also, to book excursions you need to be paid in full. But don't bother looking online. Call DCL, ask all your questions AND also find out when is the first day and time you can call to book.
