Is 5 hours enough time to spend at Sea World? It's just a thought, for our last day, right now. Am I totally insane  , or could we have fun in that amount of time?

We spent just about 5 hours there several years ago and still had fun. You won't get to see much, probably just a couple of shows and some of the exhibits but you will get to see stuff. It's not totally insane.

Thanks :) How much did you actually get to do? Did you at all feel like that limited amount of time was a waste of money?

We spent about half a day at Sea World just a week ago and I feel it was plenty of time. We saw all the sea life exhibits (dolphins, manatees, sharks, etc.) and did a little shopping as well. The only things we didn't do were the rides and shows. I think that we got a feel for SW and didn't think it was a waste of money.

Plus, we found out that when you buy a one-day ticket, you can trade it in for another one-day ticket for free. It has to be used within about a week so you can't really save it for another trip and they take your picture and put it on the ticket so no one else can use it. We got them, but didn't end up going back. Still, no regrets. It gives us a few things to look forward to the next time we visit SW.

Thanks:cool:

 I'm having some trouble deciding which park of SW/IOA/US would be the best 1 to do on our last day. Although we'll only be spending 2 days at US/IOA, we will probably get 5 day passes because of the price, so we have some options in what days we spend there. Any opinions on which of those three would be the best to do with only 5 hours touring time? Assuming that we start at nine and get express plus passes for IOA/US at 10?

Note: We're considering doing the Dr Seuss character breakfast @ IOA

Have you ever been to Sea World? I decided to go on our last trip and did not regret it. I think it was extremely educational and enjoyable. Almost relaxing, after 2 weeks of USF and WDW. We got to pet penguins and feed a whole bunch of types of mammals and fish. We really enjoyed our day and I would recommend going. The crowds also seemed less than the other parks, and it wasn't as hectic. I really liked it. If you've done your share of other parks, I would try this one out for a couple of hours.

In the amount of time we were there we saw 2 shows, and the manatee, penguins, dolphin, stingray, and turtle exhibits. Also had lunch. All in 5 or 6 hours. Sea World, in my opinion is worth the money even for just going to see one show. Granted it's my mother's money that's being spent to buy the tickets, but it's an amazing place, and even she feels that any time anyone can possibly spend at Sea World is well worth it.

No, I've never been to Sea World. I've also never been to IOA, I have been to US, but no one else that's going along has been to any of the three. I do think I'd really enjoy Sea World, I'm an animal lover - that's why I want to go so bad. I'm trying to think of everyone else too though. So, now if everyone agrees on going to SW, it will just be a matter of deciding which day to go

Wow  , sounds like a good deal ::yes:: , maybe SW would be the best one to do on our last day?!?

My family and I were at Sea World 6/5 and LOVED IT. It was a nice break from the big crowds at WDW and a totally different atomsphere. We arrived around 10:30, 11:00 and stayed til closing time. Our biggest regret was we didn't get to ride Kraken or Atlantis a 2nd time due to the weather. If you have small children that aren't into the rides as much, I think SW is a great choice. I have 3 girls ages 12 1/2, 8, and 4 1/2. The youngest 2 couldn't ride Kraken but loved Atlantis--similar to Splash Mtn. The dolphin Show, whale show and the show w/the otters and sea lions are the best. Very intersting. We really enjoyed it and would go back again in a heart beat......if we had the money of course!!
I've not been to IOA yet and found Universal fun but very crowded. You really need to get there early to take advantage of all it has to offer. We didn't and missed out on alot of great stuff b/c we had to stand in line so much.
Have a great time!!
