Hello all!

My mission is to do AK, MGM and Epcot in one day.

This year unfortunatly we will only be having 3 or 4 days maximum at the parks.

I was thinking of going to 3 disney parks in ONE day.

We are going in late october.

We only really want to do a few things at each park. We would want to do all of it, but time permitting we cant.

This is what i thought.

Dinosaur, Rapids, Safari, tough to be a bug at animal kingdom.
Take transport to Disney Studios.
Spend the rest of the day here and stay until the end of Fantasmic.
Quickly take Transportation to Epcot. Watch fire works. If we have time go on Test Track, Honey i shrunk the audience and Mission Space.

Is this Impossible?

How long will it take to do the MAIN MUST SEE attractions in animal Kingdom. And what others would you add to my list?

How long will it take to get from the AK to MGM? And what mode of transport would we take?

How long would it take to get to Epcot from the end of Fantasmic, and again which way is the best, and quickest to get there.

Finally would we have time to do Honey, Mission Space and TT before the park closes in epcot?

We will try and do magic kingdom in MNSSHP.

If i buy a 5 day park hopper pass and only use one day of it, could i give it to a friend to use up the rest of it, or use it again my self many years later?

Also, does anyone know if Fantasmic and Illuminations are held during the last week of october and if so, at what time?

thanks al so much!

maybe i'm just too enthusiasic!

oh... and any more tips to do the parks in a rush are all welcomeed;)

I've done five parks in one day, so it's certainly possible, but you need to remember that Illuminations starts when Epcot closes - you won't be able to go on any rides after it (unless they still keep Test Track open until 10, which I don't think they do).

The quickest way from MGM to epcot is to walk go down pas the resorts YC and BC to back entrance to EPCOT

Are you going before the time change or after - sunset time link here:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=867&obj=sun&month=10&year=2003&day=1

I think the key is whether Fantasmic runs early enough for it to finish, and you/your group to briskly walk up to back entrance to Epcot by the Intl Gateway (appx 20 minute walk) and then you would need to skirt the World Showcase and walk to Future World to experience the rides you mention

Personally, it would be too much for me but it is possible in theory especially if you use the "singles" rider line at Test Track - not sure if Mission Space will have/has a singles line

Thanks

I would say the walk is about 25 minutes or so at a decent pace - I have not walked at a post-Fantasmic time so not sure how crowded the walkway would be.

It is easy to follow - here is the start coming from the Boardwalk Villas side:

http://www.wdwig.com/swan25.jpg

Here is a picture of the boardwalk towards the top of the pic - to the right is the waterway and you will see a walkway to the left of the waterway - that is the path. You may notice to the right of the pic is the Swan and Dolphin and the YC/BC/BCV at the bottom of the pic - to the top of left is the South end of the Epcot World Showcase

You can see the walkway in this one as well:

Good Luck!

thanks:D

how long does fantasmic last?

would it be better to go to AK then Epcot then MGM then back to Epcot to see the Illuminations? We want to spend most of the time at MGM:confused:

thanks

What are the specific attractions you want to view/ride while at MGM? That might help clarify whether what you seek to do is possible or plausible.

Looks like depending upon which day in October, Studios were closing between 7 and 8 pm

"The walk from the Dolphin to the Studios is via the Boardwalk. The walk from the Dolphin to the Boardwalk is, maybe, three or four minutes. The walk from there to the Studios would be more like fifteen or twenty. It's a decent hike. You may want to do it early in the trip, but after a few days of pounding the pavement in the parks, I'm sure you'll want to wait for that next boat instead. :) "

Show looks like 25 minutes:

"25 minute shows (weather permitting)"

So if all goes to plan, your BEST possible outcome is Fantasmic over at 7:25pm assuming it starts right at Studios close time near the end of October assuming Studios closes at 7pm again

So to get from Studios to Epcot including leaving Fantasmic, the slowdowns you will encounter etc. - I cannot see you reaching Epcot until 8pm and that is optimistic - Illuminations at 9pm does not give you much time

I think 3 parks in a day is possible but Fantasmic then Epcot rides then Illuminations just does not appear to be doable

Thanks

I originally said that i was going to do Animal Kingdom, MGM then Epcot.

I have thought it through and it is just so hard deciding what i really want to do.

What about this...

Epcot first - Body Wars, Test Track, Mission Space, Honey i shrunk the Audience and maybe Universe of Engery.

Animal Kingdom second - Dinosaur, Safari, Lion King, and maybe Tough to be a bug and rapids ride.

MGM third, as much as we can do until fantasmic.

Epcot fourth, enter through the World Showcase, do Norway and see Illuminations.

OR

same attractions but AK, Epcot, MGM then Epcot.

any more opnions?

thanks:D

If you can do Epcot on an Early Entry day then maybe. I have done three parks in a day but started during EE.

With Mission Space up and running, you would ideally hit Epcot on an EE/EMH day assuming you are staying at a Disney resort on at the Hilton in DTD

Your plan as you laid out maybe possible if you can put Epcot behind you qucikly enough and also just doing Maelstrom in Norway in WS should work out

For AK, I would get:

FastPass for Safaris
Ride Dinosaur Standby Line
If Primeval Whirl is short standby ride that as well
See Tough to be a Bug
If FP window open, consider getting FP for Kali
Experience Lion King
Use FP at Safaris
Ride Kali River Rapids in Standby Line

Where are you going to have Lunch?

I put Kali at the end in case you get soaked on the ride then you can walk out of AK drying yourself off

Thanks

i won't be staying onsite this time:(

jaysue - we don't usually have lunch, we get a big breakfast.

OK, so I would go to AK first and be on hand at park opening and then go to Epcot, be prepared to ride singles line at Test Track and if there is one at Mission Space as well or possibly get an FP at MS (long shot I think) or use the standby line. Then go to Disney studios, squeeze as much as you can in then go to Fantasmic and then to Epcot World Showcase.

If you like Studios as much as I think, then drop AK and stick with Studios and Epcot due to geographic proximity

Thanks
