Am I able to check on a room request?

our TA says she gave our room request to WD but I am not confident this is true. Am I able to look it up online or contact someone at WDW to confirm? Along with room request in advance, what else can I do to increase the odds of us getting our desired location?

You cannot see those on MDE. You can call to see what requests are on your reservation. Why do you think your TA would lie to you about making requests?

Disney will only deal with your travel agent regarding your room reservation. You won't be able to call them to ask about your request. Once you check in though, the reservation in now under your control and you can ask about your room when you check in. They will let you know if you got what you requested.

I do not think our TA lied but I am not confident that she is accurate. She is a friend and would not intentionally lie to us. A few days after we booked our trip I gave her a request of a couple of buildings and she said she would add it to our reservation later. A few days ago I texted her asking if she had added our request and her quick reply- too quick for her to double check and confirm- is that she included it when she booked the trip. Maybe she is right but maybe she is remembering another family's trip instead of our's and getting details mixed up.

She also told me when we first booked the trip to wait to add the Memory Maker until a week before our trip because once I add it, she will be locked out of helping us. In the same text conversation the other day I mentioned getting MM and she said "you can add it anytime, it doesn't affect my access." So over a few months time she has given me contradictory information.

Friend or not, I think there are enough red flags there to recommend finding another Travel Agent.

I agree. I have handled several of our WDW trips myself in the past and could have done as good a job or better this time around. If I use a TA again I am using someone else.
