Am I a odd ball fop

If you can get a FP for FOP and your party wants to ride I would just get them for everyone, you can usually ride NRJ with much less of a wait than FOP using standby so this way you could ride both.

Why not give yourself the Option to ride if you choose to by getting a FP+? It doesn't really move much so if you feel afraid you can just close your eyes for as long as you feel necessary. My dd doesn't love sim rides and doesn't enjoy soarin at all but she Loved FOP and was glad she tried it.

What's interesting is that I didn't get motion sickness in FOP (and I don't get motion sickness on Soarin either), but the motion simulator rides at Universal just kill me. I like HP land for the amazing theming, but at least for those of us that experience motion sickness, there is a difference in the motion simulator rides.

I get severe motion sickness. The only ride in Orlando to ever make me vomit was Star Tours. FOP minorly triggered it. Most of Universal's rides don't trigger me (a few definitely do), though since there's different physiological tolerance levels for motion sickness I don't think we can say across the board what rides will or will not cause motion sickness (unless it's Simpsons, because that does in everyone ).

I didn't go on it, but the members of my party who did weren't bumping it up to the best ride in Orlando either. I agree that it seems like a very "Universal-ish" ride

Speaking of Universal, I also wonder if FOP was over at Universal, how many Disney fans would go over to ride it?

I didn't expect to like it as much as I did - only watched the first disc of avatar but my kids love the movie and were very enthusiastic about it. We all liked it the first time but honestly I liked it much better the 2nd time for some reason.

For perspective my favorite "Orlando" ride is still Escape from Gringots - with Pandora in second. For reference I also love BTMR, Everest and the Mummy ride and I do ride the bigger "hulk, Rip Ride or RNRC type coasters. To me there is something about the simplicity and theming of the others I enjoy more (or maybe I am just getting too old!).

Star Tours also gives me motion sickness, so we have that in common. Just curious, Transformers, Spider-Man and the HP rides don't give you motion sickness? I'm planning on taking Bonnie next time we hit Uni.

Forbidden Journey --> If you're looking at the bank of 4 seats, if I ride in the far right I have some motion sickness, but the far left I have none.

Transformers, Spider-man, Gringotts: none of them give me motion sickness, though I wouldn't test it by riding them all rapid-fire.

I know you weren't asking me but - I can ride Spider Man, Transformers and Gringots as well as Forbidden journey (but I am not crazy about that one!) I love the new Jimmy Fallon ride but had to close my eyes a couple times the first time, so the next day I took Bonine as a precaution. Like many I can't ride Simpsons although I did find it funny - I can't ride Minions either.

I also have issues on Star Tours and occasionally did with the old Soarin, so far the new Soarin has been fine and I had no issues with FOP.

If you're worried about the "getting pushed off a cliff" feeling perhaps you would benefit from watching a POV ride through on YouTube. Obviously you won't get the on ride sensation but you'll at least know what to expect.

But in the end it's simple. It's your vacation. Do what YOU want to do.

The first morning we were in Pandora, the absolutely hilarious, awesome CM directing guests pointed to the FOP line and said "this way for the good ride" and then pointing to the NRJ said "that way for the other ride."

My sentiments exactly.

Lol

And to the pp thanks for the reassurance that it does not move much
