I think Jen said this during the full, but we decided these races are like childbirth...you swear during the event that you'll never do it again, but once it's over and you see the results and have some time and distance, you're right back in the saddle

I believe I said more than once during the 2007 half, I would NEVER do a full, made Jen and Vic promise this year to remind me not to EVER do another one and am now a little sad that DH gets to do the full next year instead of me. (We're going to trade years...so for 2010, he'll do the half and I'll do the full).

Yep, I said the same thing, "Never Again!"

However, never say never. I think I need another year, maybe longer, of training before tackling another marathon. So, this is going to be the year of concentrating on and improving my 1/2 marathon times, run the WDW 1/2 next year, and then see where we're at.

If I like what I see, I'll sign up to do the 2010 marathon. If not, I'll stick with the 1/2s.

Calcio's DW entering the fray--no I'm NOT signing up for the Goofy. I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that. And NO! I'm not signing up for the marathon again in any foreseeable future! Now the 1/2, on the other hand, it totally do-able.

Calcio: you asked for someone to run you in the last 3 miles and for someone to kick your butt out of bed on Sunday morning. I volunteer for B. I will kick your butt out of bed on Sunday. However, you will need to find someone else to run you in the last 3 miles.

Hello? Judith Anne? Oh, hi, how are you? What was that? Charlie is running the Goofy too? Oh, lord. What have our husbands done? I'll keep you on speed dial so we can commiserate when they complain about their training.

To all who have already signed up for the Goofy--I am in awe of your efforts. Good luck with the training!

Count me and ScoJo15 in. We slumped into the bus seat after the marathon last Sunday and said "never ever ever EVER again". Two days later we were like...ummm....we kinda' want to try again.

Yep...gonna sign up for Goofy '09 here shortly. I totally swore it off somewhere along mile 19 last Sunday...but a couple days of rest (along with a wonderful night of post-race recognition)... factor in that competitive desire to always do better and BAM...here we go again!!

Good luck to all of those running in any of the events next year...let's make '09 the best one yet!
