Now, as I've mentioned before, I would like the bridesmaids and I to attend the reception in a bikini, while the boys attend it in surfer shorts. Heres some bikini ideas for me:

Let me know what you think of my ideas!
Have a zip-a-dee-do-dah Labor Day! (haha, cheesy, I know..)

Everything looks great so far! You certainly are off to a fantastic start!

Thank you so much everyone! Now all we need is a date, ugh, this flight school is messing up all my wedding plans!

hey everyone, sorry I haven't been on in a while. My Uncle Stephen is very mentally unstable at the moment and my grandfather is having major back issues so it's been kinda hectic:(

be posting more things hopefully in the near by future.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having some family issues. I hope everything gets resolved. :goodvibes

Every bride has the absolute right to decide the style details of her wedding and I am truly truly not trying to be a control freak, but...

Do you really believe that a bikini reception and the American Adventure Rotunda are a good match? The rotunda seems so formal. These two concepts really , in my humble opinion, do not mesh. But I could be totally wrong. just a thought. :teacher:

Hey everyone!

Sorry I haven't been on in SO long, there's been a ton going on with my family like I've previously mentioned.

As for the wedding planning, we are debating a location (again) and a DATE!!! :cool1:
For the date, we're thinking around May/June 2012. Since it's beach themed, we want it during a summer month, but we don't want it to be excruciatingly hot during our wedding. Any ideas would be helpful!!!

You know, I never really thought of that, and you're really right. I was talking about it with DF yesterday, and he thought the reception location we picked was weird too.

so now i am debating EVERYTHING. theme, place, time, day, location, AHHHHHH!!!!!:scared1:

here's where all the stress starts:

so DF says that we can get married in late 2011-or any time in 2012. so i suggested lets have our wedding may 2012. then DF comes out with this (and i quote)- "uhhhh, well, uhhhh, i really wanted a winter wedding during the holidays."
WHAT?!?!?!??!:mad::mad::mad::mad:
he said his favorite season is winter, and he really wants one then. ughhhh.

this completley ruin MOST plans.

what should i do?!?!?! i mean, i really like the winter theme too, and it might be too crowded if i do it in the summer..
HELP PLEASE!

Well I haven't really figured out to many details but I was thinking what if you combined both your themes? Maybe do like a winter in paradise theme. Combine elements from both. Like for example you had wanted like the bikini idea. What if you still wear them but have like a jacket unzipped over them or something like that. Idk if I'm making sense but I'm just thinking something about combining two opposites might be cute.

Hi, just joining in! As for the beach and winter theme problem, along the lines of what furturemrs.b said, you can do a blizzard beach type theme(one of the water parks at Disney). It's a really cool park if you haven't been. You could get ideas from the theme park, so it's winter, beachy and disney all in one! hope that helps! :thumbsup2

i would like to combine the two events, and DF would like to have it during Christmas time. hmm....

Even better Christmas in paradise. Palm trees with lights on them or a lil snow. Lil sunburned penguins.:rotfl: Don't mind me I just luv penguins. I think they're 2 cute and I was thinking of them in the movie Madagascar. Maybe for favors have like a little box decorated like a Christmas gift and in there it could be something beach themed. Just ideas.

wow, thats a really good idea! i love it!

I will talk to DF about it:thumbsup2

Maybe you should look at the week after thanksgiving. It's usually the least crowded and cheapest time to go to Disney and you won't have to pay double for a DJ like you would in December.

Maybe you could give the hawaiian/beachy theme a twist and think Elvis/50s hawaiian christmas. It could work with your love of Lilo & Stitch.

Dolly Thicke is a dress designer that does 50s style short dresses. (And they're pretty decently priced ) She even does custom work. http://www.dollycouture.com

I can't help but think of Egg Nog with little paper umbrellas sticking out at your reception. :rotfl:

Hi!
We were doing a winter Beach wedding, it's never truly winter in Florida, LOL, so I say stick with the beach theme!

We were looking the week after thanksgiving because we've been down there at that time and it's DEAD. we love it, and it deffinitley is lower priced:thumbsup2
And, like I previously mentioned, we are going to do a "Christmas in Paridise" theme. Maybe morning ceremony, lunch, MVMCP?
