Aluminum Xmas Trees

Does anyone own one of those godforsaken things? LOL

They are kind of kitchy, I must admit!

We had one when I was little. We also had the color wheel to go with it. I saw one in a store the other day (antique store) and it made me want one again but we are afraid the cats will have too much fun playing with it. Do they even make them anymore?

We have an absolutly fabulous one. It is about 7 feet tall and is very full (which is unusual for the sliver trees). It belonged to DH's parents. We could get hundreds of dollars for it on ebay. We also have the in-laws' color wheel, plus a spare that we got at an antique mall.

Since DH's birthday is Dec. 26th, it usually the "birthday tree" and Dh's birthday gifts go under it.

When the kids were little, they use to wear gloves to help decorate it...if you don't watch it, the "needles" will cut your finger tips.

We had one growing up and just last year (or maybe the year before) I ended up buying one...also with the colored wheel.

There are several different sizes and styles. I remember we had one of these when I was a kid. That colored wheel base would get very hot after it was running for a while!
