Hi,
I didn't realize I needed a reservation for beaches and cream and now am finding it hard to find one for November. I'm assuming for the kitchen sink they wont accept a walk up? Any other options you know of similar? We really want some giant ice cream treat experience.
Thanks

The Fountain at the Dolphin (right next to BC/YC in the EP resort area) has the "Fountain Funnel" http://www.swandolphinrestaurants.com/menus/pdf/fountain-icecream.pdf

Ghiradelli's in Disney Springs has the "Earthquake Family Favorite" https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/disney-springs/ghirardelli-soda-fountain/menus/

TRex has "Chocolate Extinction" https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/disney-springs/t-rex/menus/

Thank you so much!! Between the fountain and the earthquake which do you like best?

Not sure what week in November you are going. It may be a bit difficult Thanksgiving week, but I was there furing Spring break, fairly busy, and got in a couple times without a reservation. Granted we had to wait 20 - 30 minutes, but we always got in. They have a to go counter too.

IMO, the kitchen sink has more value for a picture than it does for a dessert. Ive never seen anyone finish unless there were at least 6 hungry people. The individual sundae are enormous and come with much better toppings. The kitchen sink has all the toppings, but its over all the ice cream. If you dont like strawberries or pineapple, your going to get it anyway.

We got individuals and barely made a dent in them.

You can try getting there right when they open (11:00am). The place was empty for at least 30 minutes.

You can get the "Mini Mickey Sink" (not quite as big as the kitchen sink, but still big) served in a pair of plastic Mickey pants, from the Beaches & Cream walk-up window that is open to anyone.

We have also had plenty of luck going to B&C without an ADR-yes you may have to wait a bit (depending on party size) but it is still very possible.

And here is the Mickey Pants sundae (so cute)!bc-mickey-pants-sundae-1.jpg

Actually there are three different versions of the kitchen sink, hopefully everyone can agree on one:
Chocolate Lovers - base scoops of vanilla, chocolate, and cookies and cream, topped with chocolate chips, snickers, oreos, brownies, chocolate syrup, whipped cream
Everything - all the different ice cream flavors, all the toppings, whipped cream, etc
Neapolitan - base scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry ice cream, plus fruits like banana, pineapple, etc, topped with cherries, whipped cream

We ordered the Chocolate Lovers for my birthday, no fruits on it, it was good. We pretty much finished it with 4 people, the guys ate way more than the girls.
I would have probably liked the Neapolitan better, but 3 of 4 wanted Chocolate.

Ghiradelli has better ice cream, IMHO, but I like the set-up at the Fountain better. The Fountain is table service whereas Ghiradelli is walk-up and can get super crowded depending on the time of day. If you don't care about the size of the sundae, Ample Hills has the best sundaes on property, IMHO, but they don't have the gigantic ones like the kitchen sink.

WHen I was there in march, a cast member told me that you can get any dessert at the beaches & cream to go window except the one with grilled banana bread.

Dh & I always do walk ups at B&C, but we are willing to sit at the counter. Dh has to have his banana split 'fix' and I get a hot fudge sundae.

The Mickey Pants sundae has also been available in MK at the Plaza Ice Cream shop- at a much lower price ($16.99). I tried to get B&C price of the menu on the app, but didn't see it listed but I think it was around $22-23 last time I looked.

can you choose to change the ice cream flavor? I have been interested in the Kitchen sink

You cannot get the large Kitchen Sink dessert at the to go window. The window has a limited menu of cones, shakes, floats, the Mickey Pants sundae etc. Posters have said they've had mixed results on whether they will make sundaes from the TS menu. If it is not too busy they will make them, but if it is busy some have posted they weren't able to order anything but what's on the to go window menu.

I did not ask specifically about the Kitchen Sink, but the cast member I spoke to was very clear that there was only one dessert which could not be obtained at the To Go window- the grilled banana bread thing. She was working outside the door of Beaches &Cream. Of course she could have been mistaken - but I wonder if people who have reported being denied service went there recently or awhile ago.

Does Whispering Canyon still have the giant cowboy hat?
Chocolate covered bacon.... :scratchin

I wonder if this ever got out of testing?

As for Beaches & Cream, there is good stuff at the takeout window and also benches nearby. At least there used to be benches. :confused3
