Alternative to Windsor Hills?

We've stayed at the Windsor Hills condos 3 times, and absolutely love it there. However, I recently found out that they will be doing some construction on the pool area during our trip, which I'd rather avoid. So, I'm in search of a different place to stay. I'd prefer to keep my cost below $1000 (including taxes, fees, etc) for 10 nights immediately after Thanksgiving.

A washer/dryer in the unit is an absolute must. I'd also prefer to stay within about a 15 minutes drive from the parks. Any recommendations for me please?

We also would like to know this! I just sent an email to Windsor Hills to see if I could get a refund so I can move to a new place. I'm EXTREMELY upset that they didn't tell us any of this when we booked :(

You have a ton of choices. Sheraton Vistana, WBC, Orange Lake Resort, Reunion, and many others. At $100/nt for 10 nights, it might get a little tough, but doable. Just go to VRBO, put your search criteria in, and locate what you are looking for. From there, you can whittle down the areas/communities.

I agree with pp, getting $1,000 for 10 nts might be a challenge but not impossible. Windsor Palms has condos and from what I've researched, the rates are a little lower than over at Windsor Hills. Windsor Palms is a little older than Windsor Hills, but still nice. There is also Crestwynd Bay which is next door to Windsor Hills. I also think Oakwater resort (newer and also in the Windsor Hills area) has competitive rates if you check VRBO. Good luck :thumbsup2.

Does anyone know the dates of the construction or where I can find out? THx

We've stayed at Windsor Palms many times. It was built by the same developer before Windsor Hills. If you want a more residential feel, we've rented a townhouse in Crestwynd Bay a few times. It doesn't have all of the resort amenities but there is a community pool. A bit further away, but we've also rented houses in Lindfields several times.
