We've grown past the BBB and had a blast the times we did it; however, looking for something a little extra magical in place of it. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but here goes. My niece did BBB when she was 4 and then again at age 6. We went again when she was 8, but wanted something different that BBB. Instead, we booked the Pirates and Pals Fireworks viewing party. She had an elaborate pirate costume that she had used for a Disney cruise that we used for that night. I did her hair and makeup! We all loved the Pirates and Pals party. The kids liked the character meet and greets and the unlimited snacks. The adults liked the humor. Another idea is to let her dress up as a princess and then book a Happily Ever After Dessert party. (I watched some of the u-tube videos and got really good at replicating those BBB hairstyles.)

The Ivy Trellis at the Grand Floridian has a hair and make up package you can do. I am thinking I might do that with my daughter when she outgrows BBB.

I can attest to this salon as a wonderful alternative to BBB. My little Princesses were treated like Princesses, their hair was personalized and looked lovely. The stylists are licensed, which in my opinion is worth so much! Also they girls were offered makeup, which we declined, but I found the services well worth the money.

My 2 older girls have done BBB for a total of 4 times. This year my 2 younger ones are doing Ivy Trellis. I don't like how BBB went to the bun maker and do not use styling gel (that thing would stay until completely submerged in a pool...and then you still had to wash it 3-4 times!). I hear it falls out by the end of the day. not worth the money in my opinion. Looking forward to Ivy Trellis and getting something a little more unique rather than a selection of pre-determined styles.

Pirates League.... girls can do a mermaid or pirate princess look. They do a parade as well as get a special pirate name. It’s pretty cute.

I will also say that the Pirate And Pals firework cruise is a lot of fun!

DH and I took our two nephews to the Pirate's League as a special treat from Aunt and Uncle on a recent extended family trip. We were really impressed with how much fun they both had. While we were there, one girl was being made into a mermaid and she looked awesome (there is also a girl pirate choice too).

I have not taken the tour myself, but if you kids really like animals what about the new Elephant Care tour at AK?

On the same extended family trip all the girls in the group (grandma, SIL, niece and I) went to tea at GF which could be fun as a little something extra.

Good question, same boat here. Our girls did it during our last August trip and pretty sure they've aged out of it now. I am looking at the tea at GF as an option or possibly a fireworks dessert party for all of us in place of the money we'd spend at BBB. The Ivy Trellis at GF looks like a great option too, I need to add that to my short list also. I also looked at horseback riding near FW, they've only ridden a few times and I think this would be pretty unique and it's not terribly expensive.

Last trip we were on BBB was a waste...granted we went for X-mas so it was jamming but the hair extensions looked cheap then the bun was basically a block of concrete (the mosquitos loved it LOL) But to Disneys credit the time before that they did a fantastic job so coulda been a 1 off

If your girls would like the tea, I bet adding a package with Ivy Trellis would be a special treat.
