Hello,
I booked a bounce back trip for July 2017 when we were visiting last year. I called to add water parks to our park hoppers and the price increased more than I though it would. When I questioned it I was told I would have to pay the ticket price increase since last year plus the price of the water park option. She said the only way around this would be to wait until we get to the park and visit Guest Services to pay for just the addition of the water parks. Will I be able to do this if I used the ticked to get in the park? The other question I have is I want to depart a day earlier. When I called today I was told again to wait until I reach the resort and let them know I would be leaving a day early and receive a refund because if she made the change, I could lose the free dining as she would need to see if it was available for my dates. I didn't think you could make changes to a reservation without a penalty especially during the trip. Thanks in advance for your help.

The CM is correct. Do not modify your tickets right now or you will be required to pay the current ticketed price. Yes, you can use your tickets to enter a park and have GR "bridge" them to the current price. Then you will pay the difference between the current ticket price and waterpark add on.

As far as dropping a night - did you call BB or regular reservations? A BB CM can check to see if modifications are available without you losing BB FD. But be careful if you proceed with modifying, it may cause your tickets to switch over to the current version/price. Price it all out first.

I'm actually thinking about calling to modify our dates myself, but don't want to lose the old version of tickets that are attached (no expire/14 days from first use). We have APs, so plan to save them.

We successfully dropped a day off our fd bb by calling the bb line about a month ago. We didn't make any changes to our tickets so our ticket prices were not affected.

Thank you both so much. I had called regular reservations, I never even thought to call BB. I will give them a call and see what they say.

With the latest round of ticket price increases on February 12, 2017, the "bridging" formula changed. Because your tickets were purchased last year as part of the BB offer, the tickets will only be brought up to the gate price as of Feb 11, 2017 so you will have to pay the difference between that value and the value on the day you add the water park option.
