I was on the same 4 night Magic cruise a recent poster was on. Just wanted to let people know that the Edge is in a new space--the old quartermasters. Probably some of you already knew that, but I'm a pretty frequent lurker, and it was news to me! I would doubt they would move again to put in a Vanillope's. My son liked the new space, and I have to say it was much more convenient than the old space on 2......it made it much easier for him to grab pizza, fruit, etc. in between activities.

Also, we had never been to Nassau, and I wanted to see it. I thought it was fine regarding safety. Very easy to find a taxi--similar to when we went to Grand Cayman. We did the Atlantis water park experience. I booked this through Comfort Suites. I would not do this again. The suites were fine, it was clear they had no intention of checking us into any room despite my requesting an early checkin. I requested an 11:00AM checkin. They said we could get in at 3pm. It was $475 for me, DH, DS age 14 and DS age 12. Mostly we just wanted to the day passes to Atlantis, so it wasn't the end of the world, but it would have been nice to have a room to change and leave our stuff in.

We were completely overwhelmed by Atlantis. We are usually pretty intrepid, but although it all looked fun, the reality was we spent 90 minutes "figuring out where things were at". It took forever to find lockers (as our room at comfort suites was kind of a bust). We rode the Rapids/Current "lazy river" twice which took about 2.5 hours in total, mostly because it took forever to get tubes. Then when a rainstorm came along, we ducked into a hotel, and the kids just wanted to go back to the ship. They did not want to even attempt the very long lines at the water slides, let alone figure out where other things were. I asked several times for a map, but no one working at Atlantis had one. Bizarre. I think if we spent 1-2 days at Atlantis, it would be awesome. But with 4 ships in Nassau (the magic, the dream, a carnival, and a costa ship), it was an epic fail for a day pass. I'm glad we tried something new, but I wouldn't do it again.

I have heard bad things Atlantis as far as the crowds... I've always wanted to try it because "It's Atlantis"... but for the price and the hassle, doesn't seem to be worth it. We're not really good with big crowds though. Thanks for the review. I am sailing on her in 2 months, how is she looking?

What was in the old Edge space on Deck 2 now that it was moved? What deck did Edge move to?

Thanks for the info about the Edge! I wonder if the Edge will be moved to that same spot on the Wonder during refurbishment.

Glad to hear a review on Atlantis. My husband and I were there years ago and my kids would flip if they knew if was right there and we couldn't visit so, this was on our plan for our 4-day cruise. After pricing it, over $1,000 for the day, I can't justify it being worth it. We want to do the dolphin encounter, but we might skip the water park. Just not enough time and too much $$$.

The edge is now on 9, midship. Don't know what is in the old space, nothing advertised, and kept forgetting to go look as I couldn't exactly remember where on 2 it was!

Hanscarlet, I thought the magic looked great! We didn't attempt the kids pool, so can't say about that, but everything else was very clean and in good shape

My 11yr old son is looking forward to the Edge. What type of activities were offered and did you son meet a lot of kids from hanging out in there and doing the activities. I heard the kids shouldn't miss the first night in the Edge. Any info about Edge would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Bummer you didn't like Atlantis. We have done it twice with Comfort Suites, but knew there wasn't really time to use the room so we did the heck in/check out at the same. Studying a map of where things are was pretty helpful too for anyone looking to go that route.

Great news about the Edge. My daughter didn't care for the Edge on the Fantasy and we are sailing on the Magic in 2 weeks. Hoping she likes it better as she used to love the clubs before aging up to the Edge. She is a couple weeks shy of 14 though, so may get her into the Vibe as well.

Glad you felt reasonably safe in Nassau. Since we have done Atlantis twice, we were thinking of just getting off and looking at a few shops, taking a few pics and enjoying the ship most of the day.
