Who knew the thread would inspire so many questions. :rotfl:

But I was curious as to what age you deam in inappropriate for B/G siblings or any siblings for that matter to share a bed. I would have never thought if it as growing up, a...we didn't travel much and b...I have a sister so it was G/G, but honestly now I have a DD7 and DS5 and wouldn't have thought twice about them sharing sleeping quarters at this age. I do think that obviously when they are teens it isn't appropriate, but just curious as to what the magic age for you would be? When they start expressing that they feel uncomfortable? When they enter the teen years? Honestly just curious,

I guess I would go by their comfort level.

My sister and I always shared the bed when traveling. We didn't get a brother until I was 13. He had a habbit of sneeking out of bed and sleeping with either me or my sister. I never cared, I thought it was cute.

Just this summer while on vactation I shared a pull out bed with my brother. I'm 25 and he's 12. It didn't phase us.

But if either of us had felt uncomfortable, my parents would have been happy to make other arangements.

I feel way honored today to be inspiring so many people! :teeth: I would have to say when the kids openly voice an objection, such as mine did. The last time they did share a hotel bed was when they were 7 & 9 and they never complained. Since then, most hotels we have stayed at have a couch that my DD would curl up on or we had a condo type place. It just happens that this hotel that I booked only had a two bed arrangement and I honestly didn't think anything about it until the kids went EWWWWW! So I think the answer is it depends on the kids and when they feel they don't want to.

I would think as soon as they start to show awareness of their bodies, other bodies, differences in all that ... signs such as starting to shut the bathroom and bedroom doors, not wanting Mom or Dad to see them in their underwear. That sort of stuff.

probably 4th or 5th grade would be my limit for my boys.

My brother and I used to share a bed on vacation. We are about 5 years apart. I think the last time we slept in the same bed was when I was maybe 10 or 11. Since then me and my mom share a bed and my dad and my bro share one.

I wouldn't even let brother and sister share a bedroom after about 4 or 5 years old nevermind a bed.
