Also Back from Cypress Pointe

We drive most places in WDW, and it's not hard from Cypress Pointe to WDW property. You would turn left at the light and travel just 2 to 3 blocks to the Hotel Plaza Blvd, which is at the entrance to Crossroads Plaza. Take a right turn, drive past the Downtown Disney Hotels and you're at Downtown Disney. If you take a left turn there, you will soon see signs directing you to all the other guest areas.

I would love to see directions to AK
and MGM. Does anyone have any
great, very clear directions? This
will be our first time offsite and also
our first time not using Disney transportation,
so I am nervous about navigating around.
TIA,
Lori

After getting on I-4 (west, toward Tampa) from CP, all we did was follow the signs...the freeway/highway signs are very clear, especially regarding WDW parks. Never had a problem getting to either AK or MGM this way. :flower:

mrsbballref - if you are staying at CY - then it is easy - you can get on I4 like localgirl say.

turn left on to 535 then go past the I4 - at 536 you are turning right - now you are on Epcot Center Drive (536) - just watch for the signs to turn off.

another way is turn left - then at the light turn right (hotel Plaza)- DD hotel - stay on this road (in front of DD it will curve toward the left - just stay on it)(it changes to Buena Vista Drive in front of DD) - it will take you to the Studios (you will go past DD West, TL, the new fairfield, CBR - then finally Studios).

Hi - what's the difference b/w Cypress Pointe Resort and Grand Villas, and Cypress Pointe Resort at Lake Buena Vista? They're listed separately under my in-law's timeshare directory. :confused3

They are Phase I and Phase II of the same resort. Guests at both may use all facilities at both. We stayed in CPR (Phase I) a few weeks ago and thought it was a very nice resort. Compared with other Gold Crown and 5 Star timeshares in the area, it's smaller (short walk to all pools) and has fewer organized activities and less extensive landscaping than we usually enjoy. We didn't like that our 3BR had no nice views - all parking lots so we kept the drapes drawn more often than we usually do. However, the unit was immaculately clean, nicely furnished and supplied, spacious, comfortable and the resort has a very nice game room, mini-golf and lovely pools with poolside amenities (food, beverages, hot tub, zippy slides that all ages seemed to enjoy, kiddie pool, playgrounds, music playing, etc.). We very much enjoyed our stay and readily recommend it.

Here's a link comparing the features and room amenities in the two phases: Cypress Pointe Phase I & II You'll find photos there too. HTH.

My family and I stayed at the Grande Villas last August. They have elevators.

is the $20.00 mini golf fee for everyone in the party? Or is it $20.00 per person? My DS had a blast at the mini golf that was at our all inclusive resort in Cozumel, I think he must have played the 18 holes at least 50 times. But it is always better with more people!

It's for the entire family. Have fun!! we were there a couple weeks ago and my kids loved it.
