So I am leaving to go home on the 18th and catching a flight at 9:00 PM. I am, as many people have stated, extremely upset with the situation. Honestly, the last thing I wanted was to be there at the ribbon cutting. But, I do not want to pass this moment up. Provided soft openings don't occur, I plan on going to the opening. However, I've never been to one before. What should I expect? What time does the ribbon cutting usually occur for new rides? Also, what time do you recommend getting there?

I know it's a little early to tell, but based on previous new rides and also for all you Universal experts out there, maybe you can lend me some advice.

I really appreciate it!

I'm going on June 18th and will get there at opening...I'm planning on getting up at my regular work time and heading over to be there when the garage opens.

Awesome!

Do you think that they will open the ride first thing in the morning? Or later on in the afternoon?

Don't know, but I'm going to guess that there will be special events on June 18th to open the attraction(s). I doubt we'll be able to get right inside the Island. There will probably be ceremonies, press events, etc. I hope we'll be able to get in when the park opens, but I'm thinking there will be restrictions.
