Alrighty so I have a few "friends". I know them IRL, I have them on facebook, and I chat with them on different message boards and stuff.

Come to find out, they like to talk about me behind my back. They write stuff on fb where they think I can't see it.

Why? Honestly, are their lives so little, pathetic, and lonely that they need to cause random drama? I never said anything bad about them and honestly thought we were friends until I found out they decided to trash talk behind my back. They were doing it to one of my oldest and greatest friends too. Like what the heck?

Peeps need to grow up, mmk? Whaddya think? Any advice on how to ddeal with this situation?

Wellll...let's say I've dealt with this before.

I ignore them. Let them be catty/******. And when you see them in school, IRL, don't mention it. Don't mention it at all. Once they realize they're not getting the reaction out of you that they wanted (they're most likely trying to get a rise/reaction outta you), they'll back down.

If you respond to it, they'll just keep going.

If they don't stop in a few weeks, I agree with Ellie; get rid of them.

Yep, but see, these people KNOW who they are. And FTR, they're not even getting me that bad. Most of the damage is to my friend who could never harm a fly!

They would pretty much stalk down everything my friend and I would say and would argue about it just to be combatative. I'm sure there's more my friend hasn't told me so I have to talk to her about it.

Don't worry about them, Sonya.
I had 3 "bestfriends" who were exactly like that. They would talk about me behind my back, but I would do the same to them. Except I would actually say it to their faces as well. There was one time I actually talked to two of them together and they put on an act like they never did a thing I was "accusing" them of. Turns out I was right.

After we stopped being friends, two of them hacked my facebook account to read through my messages and stuff. When I brought it up to them, one didnt say sorry and the other told me that whoever I heard it from was lying. But then admitted it to me about 20 minutes later.

I just love people. :)

I think the best thing to do is remove these people from your Facebook. If all they're going to do is harass you, it's probably best.

Sounds like these kids are kind of petty and stupid. I'd cut off all ties.

Honestly, screw em. Unless they're like super amazing friends that you love and couldn't imagine your life without, they're not worth the battle. Girls are catty and mean and you have to pick your battles and your friends extremely carefully.

First of all, I'm sorry this is happening. There is absolutely nothing good that comes from drama, other than the fact, that you see the person's true side. Here's my advice, if I were you, I'd just be done all together with them. Drama isn't worth it. It is WAY to exhausting. Why girls for some reason, decide to create drama, is beyond me. :confused3 Do they really have nothing better to do with their lives then to create worthless drama. Apparently not. Sorry I'm getting off-subject. Anyway, just be done with their drama, dont let it bother you. It's exactly what they want.

Hope this helped!

Me and my BF's mom was talking about this the other day..

Girls have changed over the decades. She said that girls were never this evil and as horrible as they've become.

I honestly don't know what to tell you Sonya.

I've learned the hard way that NO matter how close you think you are to someone or how much you trust them.. they can turn on you *snap* right then.

So now.. I don't have a BEST friend, I have many close friends.. but at the moment I can't call anyone my best friend.

All I have to say is KARMA ;)

Well, mean girls have been recoreded all the way back to Nellie Olsen in the Little House on The Prairie diaries. They just have more ways to be mean now, like the internet and cell phones. Bullies aren't new, they're just getting a lot more publicity lately with the media. :confused3

I was talking mainly about our town...

Nellie Olsen might have been catty, but I guarantee I've never heard or seen her say or do a quarter of the things that girls now say and do.

Have you ever seen that Lifetime movie Odd Girl Out with Alexa Vega?

That's a FAR stretch from Little House on the Prairie. Whether or not girls were catty back then, they've gotten 100x's worse now.

I wasn't say she said all the girls were nice to each other, but she said they wasn't near as mean as they are now.

Of course girls will be mean in different ways with new outlets to be cruel, but girls have always, and will always be cruel. years and years ago, nellie olsen's cutting off laura's hair in church and pushing her in mud was as bad as it could get, but if those things happened today, they would still spark outrage. can you really tell me that you wouldn't be pissed off if your daughter came home after being pushed in mud by a mean girl? does the girl really have to start rumors, use the internet, and send text messages to ostracize? no. they don't. bullying has been a problem since the beginning of time, its not a new problem, and its not getting worse than it was, its just manifesting itself in different ways, and with the power of the internet and world wide media, we hear about it more often.
