my baby brother is leaving for WDW tonight. He's going down with our parents and his girlfriend. He plans to pop the question to his girlfriend, but he's not sure where! He's never been to WDW before, but knows he wants to ask her there...

Now, i've come up with my suggestions, based on my knowledge of WDW. But I thought i'd ask the experts! ;) Where might you suggest that he propose?

Please keep in mind, he's incredibly shy, so nothing that requires too much attention...lol...and the trip is on a pretty tight budget, so nothing that would require a great expense (like dinner at V&A's or something) I'm giving him a list tonight before they leave so he has some ideas in mind once they arrive.

Thank you for any light you are able to shed on this for me! :)

Epcot- English Rose Garden. It is quiet, and all decked out for the flower and garden festival. If it was me, I would ask a CM to take a picture of us, and then propose...that way, it was a surprise, and you get pictures of it!

Completely agree with jonettea. The Rose Garden is beautiful and the flowers during the festival are gorgeous. Another beautiful option in Epcot is Japan. There is a beautiful bridge with a stream. Or perhaps in France in front of the fountain. I do agree to ask a CM to take your picture and then propose. It would be magical to have that picture.

Good Luck!

How about on the beach over at the Polynesian? Or even the beach at the Wilderness Lodge? :goodvibes

Best of luck to him! I'll be looking for an update tomorrow! :cheer2:

Yes, there is a bluff on the beach of the Poly between the Hawaii and Tahiti buildings. I saw many couples exchanging vows there. At night the tiki torches are lit and you have views of the Poly, GF and CR as well as the castle and the monorail. It is truly beautiful and best of all, free!! :sunny:

I think that sometimes the most "private" areas are the most crowded-- everyone's doing their own thing. How about right at the end of Wishes, during the finale, he just puts his arms around her waist and slips on the ring??? I'm not a huge fan of the "get down on one knee" thing anyway...how exciting!

I think we've actually figured it out for them...my mom was able to snag a PS for CRT one night. She'll be expecting it then, but it won't happen just yet...then mom booked a carriage ride for them from POR. He's got the carriage ride reserved...just up to him now to pop the question!

I do have another question though...the glass slippers they sell at that Eurospain store...is their one big enough for him to slip the ring into? and can it be engraved (the slipper)? i don't know if anyone knows that stuff or not...my mom's gonna call about it, but i thought i'd ask here :)

I'm pretty sure it can be done on both accounts.

the ring will fit in the glass slipper & i had one engraved for my moh on our trip in january with her name & maid of honor.

We all expect a full report on how it happens, the mood, etc! When he gets back. Pls make sure he posts it for all of us romantics!! =)

I may be a little late, but there is a rose garden on the tomorrowland side of the castle that is open to the public in MK. I think that they make 2 sizes of the slippers, I think you can get them customized in the x-mas store in DTD. you can also buy Guest of Honor badges there.

Well, they're back!!

He ended up proposing on the carriage ride. When the driver realized what he was doing, he stopped the ride to give them a little extra time! She, of course, said yes!

They switched around their night at CRT too...my mom and dad's 33rd wedding anniversary was on Thursday, so since they would be there that day, they changed it to Thursday after all. And a certain little miss Tinkerbell ( ;) ) just so happened to call CRT directly to notify them that they were celebrating a wedding anniversary AND an engagement! Their table was all decorated up and they got a little cake and both couples got the champagne flutes! They were quite surprised!! :)
