We just got back yesterday, and felt I had to post this thread.....we had dinner reservations at Alfredo's on Tuesday evening for 8:30 pm.....walked in, got seated, waited for waiter to take drink order, he took it, proceeded to serve it, took our dinner order, and I got to take one sip of my drink and the lasagne was placed in front of me....too fast....we got the bum's rush ...it wasn't very hot, and I should have sent it back, but didn't. Lesson learned...don't take the last seating, because they really don't want you there in the first place. My thoughts are if you can't give me the service I am paying for, then why take my ressie???? Not a happy Alfredo customer at this point...also went to a wine and food paring there, and the entree was of all things WILD BOAR STEW, and they even had the nerve to give out the recipe....and where can you get the wild boar to cook? Hunt? and if you could find it at the butcher shop, it wouldn't be considered wild now would it?
Enough said, not happy with Alfredo's anymore...but it used to be a must for every visit.

We also were very disappointed in Alfredo's during our visit 3 weeks ago. We also were rushed, wait staff were on the run the entire time and the food was okay, but nothing to rave about. This was our first, and based on this experience, our last visit there.

Sorry to hear your experience was similar to ours!!

We ate at Alfreddo's about 3 weeks ago as well and it was one of the best meals of our trip :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
The service was excellent as well as the food. We were not rushed at all. The server even told us about his home town in Italy.
The desserts were incredible as well-especially the Tirasmusu!!!
I will definitley be dining there on our next trip.

They are called "Wild Boar", even if they are farmed and bought in a shop. Plain simple "Boar" is just a male Pig. So yes you should be able to find it in shops and make the recipe. They will have been using farmed boar in the restaurant.

I'm not sure why you seem so upset they served a Wild Boar stew, it is after all a traditional Italian dish, and you were in an Italian restaurant.......

We felt the same about the service when we had lunch there on October 11th, I've never been so rushed by a server in my life. We were a walk in but that can't explain it because there were many empty tables. Our waiter asked us if we knew what we wanted to order when we sat down. When we said no, he gave us the menu's, then took a step back for a few moments, watching us the entire time. It was wierd. He asked us again after about 2 minutes, then left us alone to decide. We decided then that it was best to only order the app. and we were right because in the middle of our app. we ordered the entrees and they were brought out before we had finished the first course. As soon as I put my fork down, he took 4 steps forward and collected my plate. I've never seen anything like it!

The food was okay but the muchrooms on my pizza were canned, not what I expected. We loved the interior of the place and it was heavenly to be able to do a walk in lunch and get in from the horrible heat outside, so for that I am thankful :flower:

Yum! I LOVE Wild Boar. I would have loved to have that Wild Boar Stew. I don't know why you were upset that they served that either. I had Boar at a special event at Victoria & Alberts and it was my favorite course of the meal.

Sorry to hear that Alfredo's is rushing people. We have eaten there 3x & been very lucky all 3 times. Our food was good & our servers were all great. But, it has been years since we've been there & alot changes in that time.

I only WISH I could say we were rushed during our dinner at Alfredo's on Oct. 13th. We ended up being in that restaurant for almost 2 hours! Ridiculous! Our waitress (don't even know her name) came and took our drink orders, delivered them, took the appetizer order (delivered by someone else), took our dinner order. Never saw her again until it was time for the bill. We were on DDP. Our "bus" girl (Grasiela) did EVERYTHING! She refilled our drinks. Brought more rolls (waitress only brought 3 to a table of 4 people). She inquired about our meals. Had to ask Maitre'd where our food was. Table next to us was seated at same time. They had app, dinner & dessert before we even got our entree. Food came quickly then. Not hot but not cold either. Grasiela took dessert order. She got the "extra" tip. Then, when we wanted bill had to wait for waitress to come over and then again for her to bring bill's back to be signed and get our cards back. We told Asst. Mgr. Richard that Grasiela deserved at least half if not more of the 15% automatic DDP tip. I will NEVER eat there again. Don't see how so many people love this place and put down Tony's (where we ate while at MK) when the service (ask for Claire) and food there was WONDERFUL!!!
