Already starting to panic!

I don't enter my booking window until the 13th of April but I'm already starting to panic about getting a room! We only have 150 points and want to spend 4 nights and VGC. Everyone is saying that's it really hard to get in there but I plan on getting up early to book in on the 13th as soon as my window opens. Gah! I can't wait that long!

Use the availability tool to check inventory 7 months from today's date. That will give you an idea of what to expect.

We booked it for a trip this May, at 7 months exactly. We had to wait list our first night, but it came through after a month or so. We figured the worst thing that could happen was we would have to stay at Paradise Pier or a good neighbor hotel for a night. Can't wait to go back!

Another thing you could do is rent out your points and then rent points from a GCV owner. I had points transferred from an owner into my account so I could get the 11 month booking window.

I was able to get a reservation for 6 nights last year. I just kept stalking the website and one by one I got the reservation. Keep on trying one day at a time. Good luck!

What size room? Studios are the hardest to get. I'm hoping for a 1 bedroom for July at 7 months, I've been able to get it the last 2 times.

We only have enough points for a studio for the duration of our stay but with the CDN deal on park tickets I might be able to convince DH into a split stay. We are staying for four nights and only have 150 points for this trip.

Our home resort is Poly but we are from Canada and they have a Canadian deal right now.

Oh, lucky! VGC is one of our home resorts. We ended up adding a night at the last minute for our last trip and stayed at the DL hotel. Booked through orbitz and used one of their 15% off codes, it is really nice too. A split stay wouldn't be the worst thing ever.

You're the lucky one! DH is against split stays (He's done them before and isn't a fan) So we are going to get up at 4AM our time when the window opens and book! Maybe we will buy in to the potential new hotel when it opens!

What is CDN? What is your home resort?

There is a Canadian resident deal on tickets now - at DL is is 25% off 3+ days, at WDW it is 4+. Its a pretty sweet deal. Our dollar is in the toilet so I expect they are trying to entice us to come back across the border. Today $1 Canadian only equals $0.759 USD. This pretty much gives us the price of the ticket at par. Now is only they would do that for APs! LOL
